newbee..got a question

If I book a Marriott hotel through AAA, will I still be able to get my rewards points? Do I have to book through Marriott in order to recive rewards points?

Thank you in advance for your help.

as long as you dont book "wholesaler" rates you will get credit for your stay regardless of how you've booked the room (note: if you're on a group block you must pay for your room yourself, it can not be billed to the group to receive points but you will receive night credit)

If you book a wholesaler rate you will earn points on incidentals only and only at full service hotels (wholesaler rates are "name your own price priceline.com" and most expedia/travelocity/orbitz rates but not all and all packages put together by travel agents (ie hotel + rental car)

you do NOT have to book directly with Marriott to recieve rewards points

As an alternative, you can also book AAA rates through the Marriott website - just click the AAA radio button under 'Special Rates and Awards.'
