PP Credentials?

Has anyone gotten their PP credentials yet?

Platcomike Feb 12, 2011 1:43 pm

Not yet.

Do you mean PP status confirmation for 2011? I was upgraded from P to PP last month.

No credentials so I have the discount card. I will be on the road for the next few weeks and want the card so I can eat 20% off at Marriotts. ^

?? Unpublished benefit? (Suddenly thinking of an extra starter with my per diem if I desire :P) - i.e. where does it say that the card will get me a 20% off, not at the marriott website from what I can see?

At least in the USA it is pretty well known that you get a card for 20% off food at Marriott, JW and Renaissance and free Golf Club rental (I do not care about that).

The discount for food and non-alcoholic beverages applies at properties in North America. That benefit has been carried over into 2011.

I've been PP since the beginning of the tier and have actually never used this benefit. Does anyone know if it applies to room service?

VA1379 Feb 12, 2011 10:00 pm

It does not apply to room service. You must dine in the restaurant or bar.

Just noticed today that I am now PP! I want new credentials!! :D

As a new PP I was kind of excited to have the 20% off discount. However, I "learned" upon trying to receive it at checkout that you must request it while ordering. Since I was at the Marquis with clients, I pointed out I would not want to state "Oh, and please give me my 20% off as a PP". Seems to me like they should have an easy way to credit 20% off the food/bev total. Leave the tip as is, but don't make me ask in front of clients for my 20% off. To date (only about 4 stays so far this year), I have seen no difference from my platinum days.

havent gotten mine yet either and getting anxious. ive seen a difference in that most stays are upgraded to suites; so want the plastic bennies too!!

VA1379 Feb 13, 2011 2:31 pm

I request the discount when they give me the folio for the restaurant meal. I have had several interesting conversations with restaurant managers who did not know about the discount.

The new cards were supposed to arrive around February 9. I was told that they ordered a PP kit for me on January 9. The production must be behind schedule.

I haven't gotten mine yet either. I am a long term platinum who made PP for the first time this year.
