Adding Marriott Rewards number to an existing reservation
Long story, but I have a Marriott reservation (for an elite member) and would like to add the member's number to the reservation so that she'll get an upgraded room and other benefits.
When I add the number, is the only way to do so by calling Marriott? When it's added, will the reservation immediately show up in the member's account (and be visible when the list of upcoming stays is checked online), and/or will the member get any email or the like notifying the member of the reservation? Hopefully not. Thanks. |
I usually call the hotel directly with my confirmation number ask their res desk to add my MR number to the res. Very reliable and the res shows up on line in about 30 seconds. I never get an email with this method though.

Corporate always reserves room in a shortened first name. I always have my admin call the hotel directly to add my MR number.
