Salt Lake Downtown Marriott
 

will be in SLC over the weekend, would like to use BOGO meal cert at the downtown Marriott. is it "standard" Marriott restaurant, or ????????

Standard. The City Center Marriott is just a few blocks away, but alas, not much of an improvement on the primary restaurant. Downtown SLC is exceptionally clean, safe, etc - get out and see it instead.

I've stayed here. It was good. My boss hated his room, but mine was fine. We tried a brew pub that you walk 2 blocks to the left and then straight down the road leading away from the hotel. The concierge knew it and it was great value and good food.

Its a little dated from the outside, but the other poster is right, SLC is a very clean and nice city. Its very safe to wander around.

we WILL be out wandering around, but have to eat. several in the group are on really tight budgets...so was hoping for a better answer!
