Delray Beach Marriott - Lounge?

Hi,

just thinking about a stay at the Delray Beach Marriott next year and wonder if they have a loung I would get access to as a Platinum or not...reason I wonder is that there is no such thing as a Concierge Level room or the like bookable, yet I have read several threads here (dating to June '10 and some in '09) that claim there is a lounge at this property...

So does anybody have a recent experience with the property and can confirm/deny the existence of a lounge?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings - Dirk

Stayed there in Oct 2006 and thought it was one of the finer Marriott CL's I've ever been in. Also recall a sign saying that "all food was to be consumed in the lounge" which I promptly ignored and no one cared.

Now this was a while back, before the mass CL cutback. I really enjoyed my one night and want to get back eventually for a longer stay, ocean and a quaint town steps away...

marriott.com says "1 concierge level" and if you look at the "Suite, King" (PZST) on their website... https://www.marriott.com/hotels/hote...each-marriott/

" * This room features Concierge lounge access
* Open: Mon-Fri
* Closed: Weekends
* Complimentary food:
* - hors d'oeuvres
* Cocktails, for a fee
* Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages
* Business services, for a fee"

And as a Platnium, you are guaranteed access to any Concierge Lounge, regardless.

Yes, they have a very nice lounge on the top floor of the south tower (above the restaurant). It shares this small (think penthouse), floor with only two large suites, so there is no "concierge level". As a PlatPremier, I have always been upgraded to an ocean view room on one of the other floors in the same tower. Most (all??) of these are very large rooms, like a junior suite with a living room and separate bedroom.

It is not open on weekends, but they will issue breakfast coupons.

Great view and the staff has always been very nice.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I had given up on the room-description and only looked at the description shown during the booking-process (i.e. when you click on "Room details" when making a reservation), and that says:

Special Benefits
Open: Mon-Fri
Closed: Weekends
So I assumed they have a lounge, yet the obviously missing Concierge Level room made me wonder. But thanks for reasuring me!
