Global Appreciation Month
 

Just logged onto my corporate travel site and found this message:

MARRIOTT HAS DESIGNATED SEPTEMBER AS "XXXXX GLOBAL APPRECIATION MONTH" AT ALL 2010 PREFERRED MARRIOTT HOTELS. XXXXX CORPORATE TRAVELERS WILL RECEIVE SPECIAL RECOGNITION AND AMENITIES WHICH WILL VARY BY PROPERTY

As we have some type of discount at every Marriott in the world, am not really sure how I will determine the "preferred ones", and am wondering what "special recognition" could possibly be - not to mention "special amenities".

At least we got a nice head's up.........

Anyone else's corporation ever have this type of thing?

I noticed this on my corporate travel site towards the end of our "global appreciation month" - and would never have known about it otherwise. I never even got a "thank you" (other than the normal plat welcome) let alone a special amenity.

It was our turn in July - it was recognized at three different properties - free movie, 20% off dinner/room service, free item from the min-store, etc., at each of them.
