timesofmaldives.com This article also agrees with the rebrand

Dreaming of using my Marriott Cat 9 cert here next year so I just need it to launch and then make a reservation before any category shuffle. Not that I want to spend a week in the Maldives, but a solid use of the cert most likely. Mostly because I think with the likely category shuffle I don't think this or any of the Starwood Maldives properties will be at the equivalent of Cat 9 travel package certs.

Seems like map is the below:

Category 9 certificate or 7 day Travel Package?

They could always put it into one of the RC tiers :P

Or more likely there just won't every be point redemptions available, except on one off peak day per year, for a room carved out of the kitchen.

Does anyone think this hotel will be ready by November 2018 or will it get pushed out to 2019?

I think there's a very good chance it will be ready by November. Remeber it's not a new build it's a conversion.

Well, my faith is shaking. Might need a back up. Yesterday the website said opening November 2018. Today, Jan 2019....these things tend to creep.
