I called once about switching my offer during the promo and they told me to call back after it ended. Is it too late to call now?

Unfortunately, probably yes, it is too late, but of course it can't hurt to try.

I have said this many times before, and I am sure I will say it many times again, if you call MR and you do not like the answer you get, then hang up and call again, and hopefully you will get a different, more pleasing answer. And, if you do not get the right answer the second time, ask to speak with a supervisor, and hopefully you will get the right answer then.

From my experience and the experience of many others here on FT, it is permitted to switch offers during the promotion period, and to the best of my knowledge, you generally must make the request while the promotion is still active, not after the promotion period has expired.

However, it can't hurt to call, reference your previous call when you were turned down, and hope that maybe the call was noted in your record, so whoever you speak with knows you played by the rules.

I was told I was getting the stay 4 times get 2 category 4 certs offer but today I checked my promo and got this message:

(I've been a Platinum member for several years now.)

Same thing happened to me.

Sounds like Marriott Rewards is a bit verklempt at the moment!

I've been checking periodically and my account (Plat. Premier many years now) shows no promo for June 1 and tells me to keep checking back?

Do I have to wait til the Fall this go around?

I called the Plat. Premier line and got as much info as I could since MR is "closed."

She said no June 1 promo...just Spring and Fall Mega Bonus. I must have misread the thread here and people are talking about the Bonus that just ENDED and what they were getting?

One "rule of thumb" always to remember, if you call MR and get an answer which is not pleasing to you, then call back 10 minutes later and speak with someone else. Unfortunately, you will find that you will often get a different answer! Pretty lame, huh? This is also true for many other companies, but Marriott should know and should do better!

For the record, there is definitely a June 1 to August 30 bonus being offered! If you are Platinum Premier, there should definitely be one for you! Call and ask again, and if the answer is wrong again, ask for a supervisor. If you want an answer sooner, then you might also call CS, and complain that you must have received incorrect information, and MR is not available. I would vent on them!

Not knowing if this is defined as a "Summer Mega Bonus" I couldn't offer much info other than I thought it ran June 1 to Aug 30. This may be a targeted promo as that's two Plat. Prem. line agents I've talked to that had no info.

In their defense they are reservation agents and often aren't fully versed in MR related stuff. I guess if I get more info from the board about the upcoming promo I'll call again Monday during MR business hours and see what I can get.

I see this promo on the marriott.com homepage, when NOT logged in and with my account info NOT remembered. It's the pane labeled "earn free nights".

After 3 unsuccessful attempts to get registered for the June promo via the Platinum Premier reservation line, I requested that I be transferred to the Marriott Rewards line

The Platinum MR agent I spoke to immediately knew the promo, confirmed I wasn't yet registered, and got me signed up. I was eligible for the "Platinum Offer" as she put it...25K pts for 20 nights and 15K more after 25 total.

Very pleased with the end result...but it was frustrating with the disparity of the knowledge of the two separate groups.
