* All rooms are suites at this property. Only difference is some have french doors between the living area & bedroom, and others don't. Ask for a room facing the Wynn - better view. All rooms have programmable safes in the closet.

* PAG is $10FB coupon or 500 points.

* There is not an executive lounge. Gold/Plats get free breakfast in the restaurant - either buffet breakfast or main item off the menu. No coupons. Server will just ask for your room number.

* Gold/Plats get free hi-speed internet ($12.95 option), which also includes 3 devices. Free wifi in the public areas for all guests, whether elite or not.

* Walking distance to monorail or to the strip where one can catch the Deuce bus that runs along the strip. If you have a car, $10.00 per day self parking fee.

* Staff some of the friendliest/helpful in the entire Marriott chain!

* Detailed trip report in this post; it's a year or so old but still pretty accurate:

This is a great shortcut, but it is currently closed due to construction on the Wynn property. Not sure if/when it will reopen.

Wynn Connector Update

Just drove by this evening. Sign on the gate now says it runs 8am to 8pm and picks up at the Convention Center monorail station. Couldn't tell if there was a designated pickup/dropoff point. This is a nice, free shortcut to the front of the Wynn resort (and on the strip!). And saves $5 Monorail fare.

Well - IIRC, it's not exactly the "front" of the resort - it's a side/back entrance...which basically means you have to walk through the casino to get to the Strip-side of the resort....but that's not a bad thing

Anyway, some questions about the Marriott Suites Las Vegas:
1. Does it have a concierge lounge?
2. As a Platinum, will I get the free breakfast coupons on a reward stay if it DOESN'T have a concierge lounge?
3. As a Platinum on an award stay, am I still eligible for a room upgrade, if available? If so, what kind of room upgrade should I ask for?
4. How difficult is it to get to the strip from this hotel? I was able to walk from the Renaissance to the monorail, which worked out o.k. the last time I was there. Is this hotel farther from the monorail than the Renaissance?
5. Does the hotel have a cluefull concierge who can arrange tickets to shows and the like? (I ask because I've encountered some Marriott concierges who wouldn't be able to properly give you directions across the lobby of the hotel
6. Since I'll be there at the end of July, the pool will probably be a spot I'll want to frequent - what's the pool like?
They have a complimentary breakfast buffet for plats which shuts down at 11, but if you get there a bit late, they can hook you up with some comparable a la carte menu items if you ask. Weekends also!

One thing to note also, is they have a very small 24-hour business center where there are 2-3 desktops for free internet access, so save your $10/night for room internet. This isn't advertised too well for some reason.

One of the better breakfast buffets too. ^

Marriott Suites considered Marriott?

This seems like a silly question but are Marriott Suites considered Marriott or a separate brand for bonus buck redemption?

Thanks.

They may accept Bonus Bucks, but the Anaheim Marriott Suites would NOT accept our EEO certificate just a month ago.....just FYI. I'd certainly call the hotel ahead of time to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

as noted before Marriott Suites are a brand extension of Marriott Hotels & Resorts (use to be called Marriott Hotels Resorts & Suites)....unless a a specific hotel isn't participating in a promotion you shouldn't have an issue (not sure why Anaheim Suites wouldn't accept the EEO)

Assuming the property doesn't appear on the "non-participating" list it also could be an issue of capacity controls -- as I recall (and I'm not looking at a a B1G1 Free Weekend Night EEO at the moment there's also a disclaimer about "limited # of room available under this offer".

What I do is book the reservation online and then call the Plat Line to assure that it will be accepted... If affirmative I believe what they do is add some statement to that effect to the reservation.

I've never had a problem having a B1G1 EEO accepted at check--n. (Unfortunately, on too many occasions, processing so that the "free" night isn't charged to the folio is another issue that I have to resolve by going to the Front Desk before departing the property.

I couldn't agree more (I just dont have enough specifics to address the specific incident noted...unfortunately there has never been a good process for handling BGO's

Was thinking of using a PP at the Anaheim Marriott Suites. Think I'll have a problem? Has anyone used a BB or PP there? Thanks.

Sound like incompetence. You should have pursued it.

I agree, they function just like every other Marriott (FS). But they are not a lot of them. I have stayed at the one in Dallas and I must say it was very nice.
