Megabonus - Drop Down??

I got the 30-Nights/60K Megabonus.

Thought it would be easy, but looks like I may spend part of April in smalltown/no-Marriott USA.

Any way to get a smaller offer?
Anyone know what they are.

I will easily hit 20 nights, just not sure about hitting 30.

It depends... are you Plat or PP? If so, you can just call and request a drop down. I'm not sure what the deadline for that is, so if so, call immediately, and hopefully its not too late.

If you are gold or below, I think there's no hope...

The deadline for that would be the end of the promotion, so April 30. I'd wait until you're sure which one you want before calling.

Historically, it's been Plat only, but I believe there were some reports of them letting others change last year (I don't remember for sure).

If you find the MegaBonus thread here, you can cobble together a list of the various versions of the MegaBonus fairly easily. You'll probably want the one that's 25k for 15 nights and 40k for 20 nights.

Thanks

I'm a Platinum, so I will wait until start of April.
Should know by then my exact count, so I can see.
Should be able to get the 20/40K

Exactly, I'm PP this year and I only got offered the 25/50 which I will hit by mid-March. Any idea if I call whether they will change me to the 30/60? An even better idea would be to allow a MegaBonus double dip! Based on my expected travel through Apr 30 I could conceivably hit 50 nights so I would love to see a double dip of the 25/50.

Any luck with calling them? I'm done with my 25/50 already. Could use something else.

You will not be pleasantly surprised until you call. Seriously, if you want a higher goal, give them a call. I'm sure they will move you up if you want. I move targets every time (except this time - I don't think I can hit any Megabonus). I'm one stay with 7 nights and that's all for this period. 35 days starting in May...

Call about 2 weeks before the megabonus ends and then call back 2 weeks after it ends and the right amount of points will be credited. The two weeks before notes what offer you want. the 2 weeks afterwards will make the point credit for the account.

They will allow you to do it only 1 time after the megabonus ends. So it is better to do it before.

Just called. They switched me right away to the 30/60 (actually 20/35 and a 10/25 bonus).

I just called and asked to go from 25/50 to 30/60 and was told they put a note on my account and at the end of the promotion will manually update in mid May.

I got the same. Except they told me to call them at the end of the promo.

Correct to all of those who say call at the end of the promotion.

I called over 2 weeks after the end of the last promotion, not to inquire about the previous promotion for which I did not meet the goal, but to get nights stay postings for the current Megabonus promo corrected.

I told the Plat CSR that it was unfortunate that my 14 nights from Jan 17-31 didn't count for either promo and that I also mentioned that I did not meet my goal for the previous promo. She said wait a minute and put me on hold. Came back and gave me 5000 points for 3 stays. They are aware of the different offers and I didn't say anything other than I didn't meet the Megabonus goal.

I've never moved down but up a couple times. CAll in before it ends, they put a note in the file and a couple weeks after it end the points show up for the new offer.
