Marriott discontinued these a few years ago. They are no longer available.

Latest on EEO Free Weekend/BOGO certificates

I wonder if anyone has any definitive information on this yet...when would the time periods be for the Elite Exclusive Offer Buy-One-Get-One Free Weekends? (Or maybe they won't offer them?)

Want to book some weekends with the Global Rate Break...

Thanks.

All I know is I was able to make a 2 for 1 res using the Gold Elite offer for a Marriott on Feb 19-21, 2010. The cs agent checked for the offer and also whether the hotel I wanted ws participating.

It really shouldn't be so difficult to let us know the dates for these things. The only thing worse was when we had to wait for them to be delivered via snail mail. Sometimes I wonder who's running the marketing department and why this is so difficult.

You can make reservations with the Global Rate Break now and change them later by calling and asking to attach an EEO to them. If the rate is eligible, they will do it.

I have a reservation at the 57 in NYC Feb 13-15 and called yesterday to see if I could apply an EEO. The plat agent said no EEO's until March.

I forgot to mention that there is usually a break between January to March where EEOs are not available. This is the longest break of the year.

We can estimate the dates based upon the past....Thanks to search, and very great members gathering the data:

Think its safe to assume we won't see them before the beginning of March.

More info than you willlever need on EEOs:

Summer 04: Received coupons early June; Coupons expired Aug 31.

Fall 04: Received coupons end of Oct/Early Nov; Coupons expired Dec 31.

Winter 05: Coupons only went to those that renewed Gold or Platinum status. Those like me that went from Gold to Platinum, or others that went from Silver to Gold, did not receive coupons because we did not receive a renewal package. Some of us did call in and were sent coupons. Received with renewal letters mid-February with April 30 expiration.

Spring 05: Were available on-line March 29; Coupons expired June 15.

Summer 05: Were available on-line June 12; Coupons expired September 15.

Fall 05: Were available on-line November 8; Coupons expired January 30.

Winter/Spring 06: Guessing they were available on-line sometime in February (I could not find a post stating the exact date); Coupons expired April 30.

Summer 06: Were available on-line May 18; Coupons expired August 28.

Fall 06: Were available on-line October 25; Coupons expired January 14.

Winter/Spring 07: Three different sets of the (4) buy 1 get 1 free dinners and weekend stays, each set dated for three different date ranges in 2007 were available online on January 16 with wrong expiration date and then January 19 with corrected effective dates.

Dates for 2007 EEOs:

March 2, 2007 to June 3, 2007
June 29, 2007 to October 7, 2007
October 26 , 2007 to January 13, 2008

2008 paper EEOs out on January 18, 2008 for the following effective dates:

March 7, 2008 - June 8, 2008
June 27, 2008 - October 5, 2008
October 31, 2008 - January 11, 2009

Dates for 2009 EEOs (all EEOs are now online only) :

March 6, 2009 - June 7, 2010
June 26, 2009 - October 11, 2009
October 30, 2009 to January 10, 2010

Spring '10 opening date is March 5th, 2010. Just confirmed this w the Gold line even though they were the ones that made an EEO b1g1 reservation for me for 2/19-21. I cancelled and will probably book a hilton.

Anyone know if arriving on a Thursday and departing on a Saturday qualifies for the EEO free weekend night, or is a Saturday overnight stay required?

Thursday night doesn't work for EEO.

Angry New EEOs... what a joke

So I just discovered to my dissapointment and anger that NONE of the Marriotts in the entire Boston area participate in the EEO anymore. what is Marriott doing? Is this some kind of moronic corporate decision to exclude the Boston region entirely? This is a total devaluation of the EEO and devaluation of one of the major benefits for keeping elite status with Marriott.

Honestly, this is likely to be the last straw with Marriott. I have quite a few nights planned/booked for the rest of the year that I'll be switching to another hotel.

Marriott Concierge, I'm hoping you can check into this and see what is going on. Why even bother to offer an EEO if everything is excluded?

The NYC properties have ben ecluded for quite some time from what I recall however. Everything used to participate in Boston except for the Long Wharf. Now its nothing at all. It went from 1 exclusion to 6. And some aren't even downtown... Peabody and Quincy? Seriously? Those locations are usually a ghost town on weekends but now they're excluded?

The list of excluded properties grows and grows. DC and Baltimore. Used to be a very very short list.

At least you can use the BOGO dining EEO's in those Boston properties.

FYI - demand in BOS and NYC has grown significantly in the past 12 months, I'm certain this has had much to do with each hotel's decision to not participate in the EEO offers recently
