EEO\BOGO and LNF

Hi,

I have search the forum but found no answer for the following question\topic.

Is it possible to use a EEO with a LNF rate? I know I can use a BonusBuck certificate with LNF, but wasn't sure about EEOs.

thanks

Yes it is. I have done so before.

thanks a lot, Glenn!

have you tried using a BonusBucks cert on top of the EEO and LNF?

thanks!

LNF Claim Denied Because Comperison Rate is More Expensive if redeeming EEO Cert.

Whenever I have the intention to redeem an Elite Excluse Offer Certificate (EEO), I will indicate my purpose in my reservation. For the first time a LNF claim was denied for the following reasons:

According to our review of your claim, we have determined that the nightly room rate with which your comparison was made is not less expensive than the rate you confirmed via an official Marriott reservation channel. The comparison rate you described in your claim is as follows:

You are using an Elite Exclusive Offer Certificate with your reservation through Marriott.com. This brings your room rate daily average to $ XXX per night plus tax
.
As Elite Offer Certificates (EEO) are offers for Platinum & Gold Marriott Rewards Members only and not available to the general public I asked Marriott to re-evaluate my claim. My claim was accepted.

if a hotel is following the T&C's as stated on both the EEO cert and the BBuck, to do so you would need to have (at minimum) a four night reservation. (2 for the EEO and 2 for the BBuck)

YMMV, but reports of hotels who have honored both on less than 4 night stays have been rare........

I just received a message from the Marriott Portland waterfront that they are rejecting my eeo cert bc I used it with a "special rate". I did a lnf claim, and then booked the eeo through plat line. I hope I can get this ironed out in the morning. I am paying with a gf so I might only have them apply the amount for one night plus incidentals on the gf and pay the rest with cc in case it needs to be reviewed by a manager if ones not present

Here we go again! This seems like a constant problem. Marriott Concierge has spoken to this and assured that EEOs are valid with LNF rates. Of course, the number of people at Marriott (reservations and the actual hotels) who abide by this without an epic fight is another story.

See here post # 2

PM the Marriott Concierge with any issues, worked for me.

I figure it will be a fight tomorrow morning when I check out. U will probably just have them call Marriott and confirm that the rate is eligible. Worst case I pay it on my cc and argue with a manager later. I have used eeos twice before with lnf rates and had no issue.

Update.
Minimal hassle at checkout. The front desk had a note to return my cert for ineligible night.
I explained the rate was a price match rate and I called Marriott to apply the EEO to that rate after it was matched.
She called manager who agreed with me immediately and told her to put it through.

What a cheap weekend.
Portland Waterfront Marriott pricematched to 69+tax, then used EEO and paid with 20% off GC.

I had little trouble with FD at Renaissance MCO Airport while processing an EEO and LNF. Even though I told them that I had applied the EEO after the LNF claim, they said that there were no notes in the reservation. In the end had to talk to a manager to get the issue resolved.
