Do bonus nights count for requalification?
 

Marriott has offered me to keep my Gold status when staying another 12 nights until Dec 31st.As my Megabonus promotion gives double elite nights,does that mean I`ll only have to stay 6 nights for remaining Gold member or do these bonus elite nights not count?
Apart from this,I`ve stayed 4 nights and my account says:2 bonus nights-is that correct?

I would assume so. What's the point of night credits except to get status?

Re-read your promo details. Double elite night credit starts with the second stay, so if your first stay within the promo period was for 2 nights your 2 bonus nights are correct.

Sorry for not having been exact:my first stay was in Nov.,2 nights and I should get no bonus for these nights.My 2nd stay was last week,4 nights and I thought I should get as many bonus nights as my 2nd stay has lasted?
And as I know,Starbucks,you`re a real expert concerning everything about Marriott.So may I ask you if there are special rules for my "fasttrack to Gold" concerning the bonus nights or do I really only need 6 nights to keep my status,although the offer is:stay 12 nights until the 31st of December to remain Gold?
I`ve just had a look into my account and can see that the points for my first stay have been doubled and 2 nights have been added to my regular account.It seems that the`ve given me the 2 bonus nights for my first stay.
For the 2nd stay with 4 nights there are no doubled points and no extra nights.
My promotion for "Elite Renewal" shows 6 nights,so the 2 bonus nights seem not to count for that way of renewal.

I recommend you to email marriott reward desk to clarify this. As the answer to me was "negative", that means bonus nights are not counted towards the limited time challenge.

The reply from them to my similar request is:

"Thank you for your reply.

Only nights your personal stay that are paid directly to the hotel will qualify toward this offer. Promotional nights cannot be included.

Thank you for choosing Marriott."

My question was:
Since I have signed up for the double night bonus, does it mean that the bonus nights will be counted towards these 18 nights?
