Can I earn Reward points using group rate
Guys
i'm heading to attend a conference and booked my hotel room using the group rate negotiated by the conference. Do I still earn points on this stay (I used my credit card to pay for it) Thanks |
As long as there was not an agreement or clause in the contract agreement for the group rate that points would not be rewarded, you should receive points for your stay.

generally, if you're paying, you're earning. If it were a direct bill to the conference planners, you likely wouldn't earn.

On a recent folio, it lists ACCT# GROUP and then the bill. However there is no listing for "eligible points for rewards" - i.e. $129 - eligible points 1290. Does that mean that points will not be given because it's a group rate event though it was paid individually but night credit will stay be awarded?

Stayed at a REN in Boston about 10days ago. Still haven't gotten credit. I paid the bill, but the account # is listed as GROUP. Also, some food charges on the bill. Mainly need the stay credit right now more then the points, but have not received either. Filled out a missing stay request yesterday.
