Marriott/Hertz promotion

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with Marriott/Hertz promotions? I may book a room in Fort Collins, CO and saw this as an option. It does not state when the Bonus Bucks need to be used or the car rental coupon.

Is there an code associated with this rate?

cova Sep 29, 2009 11:34 am

I have this rate booked in California for Oct 10th. It just came up with checking rate (with no specials).

I also have questions on use of the $100 bonus bucks (I am told it only applies to a 2 night stay at a regular rate).

Also what are terms of Hertz? is there a min. # of days?

I have some questions too:

1 - when will the Bonus Bucks expire?
2 - when will the Huetz coupon expire?
3 - is the Bonus Bucks coupon transferrable?
4 - is the Hertz coupon transferrable?
5 - when do you get the coupons?
6 - what are the detailed terms of the BB? (I know they are in other threads but it seems the terms change from time to time)

Thanks.

This just showed as the lowest rate for a stay I just booked at the Anaheim Marriott for a midweek stay in a couple weeks. Rate was $119

I booked this rate for a Marriott stay tomorrow night (@79.00). And the only way I found about it was by clicking on the rates from the hotel listings. I couldn't find out any info about the promo at marriott.com so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Please let us know the terms on the bonus bucks and the hertz certificate. Hoping the bonus bucks are the non restrictive ones that allow weekday stays and that the hertz certificates are similar to the marriott gift card/hertz promo of the summer where they can be stacked, otherwise the $50 hertz certificate is practically worthless since no PC can be used and the rates usually come up as more $$ with a certificate anyway.

The Hertz certificate is valid from 10/23 through 3/31. And is good for $10 discount per day on any rental up to $50 total.

The Bonus Bucks is only good at FS and JW Marriotts worldwide. Must stay 2 nights per Bonus Bucks redemption up to 6 nights (3 certificates). Mine is valid only from 1/01 through 3/31 (not happy about that). It also says that it is only good on published, non-membership rates. Although I have used them in the past while staying at a AAA rate.

Were you given the BB and Hertz certificates upon check-in? At check-out? Did they mail them to you?

I just booked this rate at the STL Airport Marriott for only $89/night. I just don't feel like chasing down any certificates if I don't have to.

Thanks!

You get them at check-out. But you have to tell the FD that you were booked at that rate; they're not going to chase you down with the coupons. I have another reservation this weekend using an EEO certificate. The res agent used the Hertz/Bonus Bucks rate for the stay. I'm wondering if I'll get the coupons for this.

My experience is that no hotel clerk has ever noticed that I was using a senior rate or an AAA rate when redeeming bonus bucks.

heffa Oct 14, 2009 10:13 pm

Anyone got the certs when checking in, instead of at check-out?

holocker Oct 15, 2009 1:39 am

I checked in at he Anaheim MArritt today under this rate was given a paper outlining the promotion when I checked in and was told I will get the coupons when I check out.

Yes, and the clerk hand-wrote a form that I had to sign agreeing that I had received the bonus bucks coupon. Guess they have gotten screwed on that one before.
