It seems like they have cracked down. I'm heading over in a weeks time and yhe Uber app wont connect to pick ups at SCL but it seems fine within the city.

FYI, I just ordered an Uber from SCL with no issue.

Completed a recent two night weekend stay using certificates. Uber was available from SCL with no issue - I did have to meet them in the parking lot but the guy asked what I was wearing and quickly found me. It was ~21k CLP Uber Comfort to the W.

Probably the friendliest service I've had a Marriott - check-in was very pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately, my room wasn't ready until around noon as it needed to be cleaned and then there was an issue with the living room lights. I was offered free breakfast (although I had to ask to have the charge taken off at checkout) while waiting. I received a Marvelous Room, which had a large balcony and was overall quite large. Very much showing its age at this point. I nearly broke my knee one night going to the bathroom because the bathtub is in the middle with VERY sharp edges. Got a minor cut but could've been really bad... just be careful!

I had a welcome gift of a bottle of red delivered along with some desserts and a note. A nice touch. I also received a free drink for the rooftop bar, which was very cool. Breakfast was included as my selected Titanium amenity and was fine. It's a buffet. The gym is excellent as you get to use O2, which is a real gym on the third floor of the building. I ate at the asian fusion restaurant one night and thought it was pretty good. No issues with 4pm late check-out.

I really liked the location - lots walkable and middle ground between the older parts of the city and the newer areas. I had great weather and walked everywhere. I think some of the newer properties are a bit further into Vitacura vs. the W. Ultimately, I'd have no issues staying here again. Once they do a refurb, this should go back to being a great hotel .

Did you have to do any top-ups? How many points per night?

I think it was 35k points a night but can't remember exactly and can't find in the email confirmation... not sure why Marriott makes it so hard to find...

Booked for cert plus 3k top-up for July, requested Nua for the 3 suites (fantastic 796 square feet, marvelous 1k and wow 1.1k), got cleared into Marvelous Suite 3 days in advance

Took breakfast in the Noso restaurant on the fourth floor

Does this hotel still have a spa? It is not listed on its website anymore.
Is there still a W-branded store on the ground level?

I just left and can confirm there is no spa.

I came to give the W Santiago the highest praise for customer service. We checked in for a two night stay and our SNA cleared as a Platinum a few days in advance, they upgraded us from a standard King all the way to the Wow Suite, their highest level. Sparkling wine was offered at check-in. Breakfast was in a beautiful high ceiling space with great music playing looking out over a very nice residential area of Santiago. Juan Pablo was amazing in taking care of us. He insisted we have mimosas and kept them full throughout. Small selection but everything was of high quality, great sourdough bread along with many other bread options.

On our last day we had an 11pm flight and they had no problems letting us check out at 10pm. We did have to move to another room, a corner room that was also great.

Bedding is on-brand with four different types of pillows to chose from. The shower in our suite was a bit wonky and didn’t get hot enough but the other room had great water pressure and temp control. The neighborhood is fantastically walkable with lots of great restaurants within minutes.

The hotel is definitely showing signs of age but has strong enough old modern bones to not look too bad. I will admit we are OK looking past stains on furniture, etc. that might be off-putting to others.

You had an 11pm flight and checked out at 10pm. You are a much more relaxed flyer than I! Curious as to how that worked out. ;)
