Wonderful Penthouse Suite stay and service
Introduction I have stayed many times at this Four Points Midtown Times Square property, but this is only the second or third that I've been upgraded to the Penthouse Suite. It's fantastic. Check In Check in was easy and quick. They thanked me for my Ambassador status and loyalty and informed me I'd been upgraded to the Penthouse Suite. I'd actually been pre-upgraded almost a week in advance, as I'd seen the upgrade on my app. Room The Penthouse Suite is on the 37th floor. It's a pretty nice room for a Four Points!Easter was approaching, I guess. Hilarious! The air con worked wonders:I got a little nervous when I saw the ear plugs, but I never heard much noise at all.The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side, though. Service The service was quite nice. They brought up extra water and a corkscrew for me (for the bottle of wine amenity). They handled a few matters for my client rooms. Location While I'm not a fan of Midtown, this hotel is relatively easy to get in and out without a whole lot of hassle. Overall I really like this hotel. I always am happy to return when traveling with my business groups.

I’m back again and had another lovely stay. Pre-upgraded weeks ago to the other Penthouse Suite. Same suite just reverse orientation. Pre-cooled to 65 F both as requested and also indicated in my Ambassador profile. Lovely welcome amenity and note. For SkiAdcock, the breakfast benefit is a full hot breakfast buffet in the ground floor back bistro area; normally $20, it is free for Plats and above. This Four Points and the smaller one in Chelsea may be my favorite “less expensive”/ work hotels in the NYC Marriott portfolio (though at a total $344 per night, this isn’t exactly inexpensive!). I find the Four Points to be better in every way than the Courtyards, and they also are smaller and less hectic than the bigger full service options. The Ambassador recognition is also vastly superior, as I’m always upgraded, almost always to one of the very few suites. It helps that I do bring groups to the hotels, but I do that for a lot of hotels and don’t always get treated so well in NYC. |

I recently saw a rate of $125 here and jumped on it as haven’t seen rates like that in Manhattan over the last few years and it was a close walk to the theater I was visiting.
My NUA was rejected and they did not appear to be selling suites on my nights. Was glad to get an early check in around lunchtime and was assigned a king room on 24th floor. The room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and linens in good condition, no cleanliness issues at all. The ac was on motion control, so the room was quite hot when I checked in and it struggled to cool it down with peak afternoon sun. I took breakfast benefit which was full buffet with made to order eggs upon request. For the rate paid I felt like very good value these days and would certainly stay again. |
Had a 4 night stay with a corporate rate. Assigned a high floor room. Took the breakfast coupons as welcome amenity, which is normally $21.95 pp.

There is a bar in the lobby serving food and drinks. Breakfast is effectively what is normally offered at a better lounge or Residence Inn - breakfast potato, bacon, 2 types of sausages, make your own waffles, cut fruit, breads, with eggs to order from the server. The drawback is there is no host at the entrance to enforce payment - the server was doing double duty. As such, people just constantly walk in and creating chaos, taking over tables that were previously assigned, expecting free breakfast. That was probably the most distressful part of the breakfast - you walk away from the table to get food, and someone else would sit there when you get back. I did provide feedback to the front desk. With that said, the location of the hotel is pretty good, and it's a clean place to stay. |
