You can do a search under Tripadvisor and/or Google under 47 Park Street. It used to be part of Westin, I think. It is owned by the guy who owns the top French Resto in London.
It is supposed to be very posh, but I don't think that the point cost there is the same as it is at the Chancery, I think it is far higher, Correct?
If so, and you don't come by points that easily, my suggestion is to do the Chancery and save the points, as you will not be disappointed.
If however, they are near the same points, go for the 47 Park Street. I think that it has its own website if you do a google search.

I took a tour of it when I was staying at the Grosvenor Square Marriott in mid-February. They had a small cocktail hour at the GSM to introduce it, and then I walked over to check it out.
It's going to be (or is) an urban "time-share" I suppose is the word. You can buy about a month/year (doesn't have to be consecutive days) for "X"GPB that's good for 50 years or something (not cheap, but I think if you amortized it out, it was about $200/night or something like that).
Anyway, it's quite nice/posh & if you have the option of redeeming nights there, I'd say go for it!!!
It's about 2 blocks from the Grosvenor Square Marriott & about the same or a bit more from the new Marriott Park Lane (I think 45 Park Street uses the Park Lane health club) in Mayfair (block or so behind the American embassy).
Has a 24/7 concierge I think. I toured through the 1 & 2 bedrooms. They all have kitchens, dining room area, tv, dvd players, etc. Of course after touring I wanted to "buy" the 2-bedroom deluxe one - gorgeous
, but alas, finances don't allow.
If you can redeem points there, I may consider doing that instead of GSM for my annual run over to London for my birthday weekend.

If you can redeem points there, I may consider doing that instead of GSM for my annual run over to London for my birthday weekend.

According to the Marriott Rewards rep that I spoke with, it is 75,000 points for a 1 bedroom unit or 100,000 for a 2 bedroom for 3 nights. The property doesn't come up in the online rewards search but it is supposed to be redeemable. This makes the point cost of the one bedroom slightly lower than Chancery Court or County Hall (both 78,000 for 3 nights, if using the pointsaver award for County Hall). The only redemption options at 47 Park Street are for 3 night or 7 night awards. Since I'm planning a 3 night stay anyway, it fits perfectly.
Sharon,
When you toured the property, had the residences been completely renovated? If so, does it look very different from the interior photos on their website which are all 'pre-renovation'? Thanks.

More redemption options: I just called the rewards dept again to double check what I was told previously. There are actually 3 length of stay options: 3 nights, 5 nights, or 7 nights. There's also the option of just redeeming a guest room for 50,000 points for 3 nights. I wonder if this is just the bedroom and they close off the living area???

I just checked my dates and there's no award space available at 47 Park Street. It must be very hard to come by as this is for the first week of December!
I didn't ask about the number of points required for 5 or 7 nights as I could only stay 3. Also the reservations agent said she was unable to book a guest room only, just one or two bedroom residences. However, when I spoke to the rewards dept in Salt Lake, they definitely said a 50,000 3 night guest room award was available. This was confirmed by two different rewards dept agents. I thought I must have misunderstood the first time and called back. 50,000 for 3 nights would make it one of the lowest point redemptions for London. In any case, I didn't press the issue with the reservation agent as there was no availability for my dates.
Now I have to decide between County Hall and Chancery Court. Both sound like nice properties. I'm leaning toward County Hall for the view. If I go with County Hall, do I need to prebook a Thames view room for 25 pounds extra or will I be automatically given one as a Platinum?

PhilC, they were in the midst of renovations; think most of it was done when I toured through, but can't quite remember. They had some 'model' showrooms, which is what I looked at (since people were staying in the actual residences when I was there; saw people in the lobby).
I've just pulled out all the lit I was given (if I had the $$, I actually would probably do this but it's high & w/ the exchange rate - ouch for my budget).
New color schemes: 1) blue, cream & coral; 2) gold, cream purple & red; 3) gold, terracotta, red & cream.
Since this isn't like a huge hotel, I'm not surprised that they book up. And - while we think December would be slow, I'm guessing people are over for holiday shopping etc (if you can afford to buy the timeshare here you probably don't care about the currency exchange rate
); kind of like NYC in December when folk go for theatre, shopping, etc.
It says 49 "residences": 25 one bedroom, 9 one bedroom deluxe, 15 two bedroom
But now that I know (guess I missed that part during the tour) that you can redeem points for it, will seriously consider this for next year's bday trip.
BTW - looking at something (might be outdated); Marriott Reward Point Trade Value per Premium/Choice Week:
1 Bedroom-130,000 Points
1 Bedroom Deluxe - 160,000 Points
2 Bedroom - 190,000 Points
(Sharon's note: I'd go for the 1 Bedroom deluxe or 2 bedroom; 1 bedroom kitchen was a bit small)
Amenities & special services--
The following are included free of charge:
*king-size bed in master bedroom
*generous living/dining room with satellite tv & dvd
* well equipped kitchen w/ microwave oven & dishwasher
* 3 telephone lines including private DDI phone/modem line
* individually controlled air conditioning & central heating
* 24 hour concierge (airline reservations, car hire, theatre & restaurant bookings, in-residence heatlh & beauty treatments
* personal safe
* bathrobes
* hairdryer
* complimentary newspaper (Times)
* foreign exchange
The following have a separate charge:
* in-house florist
* personal shopping service
* babysitting service
* valet parking
* a la carte room service including "Le Gavroche" room service menu
* grocery pre-stocking service
* doctor/dentists on call
* health club facilities within 5 minute walk (including gym, sauna, whirlpool, heated pool, sunbeds, fitness analysis, hairdresser and beauty salon)

Stayed when it was a Westin and by far one of the best hotels in London. We had Full kitchen ( call before you arrive and they can have food in the cupbards) Living Room / Dinning Room. Very cosy Bedroom. Room Service was impeccable. With a family of 5 we had a great time with lots of room to play... My daughter now expects all food to arrive on silver trays.

Stayed at the Marriott Maida Vale in March.
it is located about a 5 minute walk from the closest tube station. As it is a little farther out, rates may be a little cheaper, but the convenience of the tube station makes it easy to reach. Although the neighborhood might be described as somewhat ethnically diversified, I had four ladies in their 50s-60s with me, and they never felt uncomfortable on the street even when we were walking back in the late evening (up to 11PM)

The great debate seems to be between Chancery Court and County Hall. Until this past week I was a big fan of Chancery Court, having not yet stayed at County Hall. Now I've tried both and can offer my 2-cent summary of their relative advantages and disadvantages:
Location
Chancery Court is in a predominately business area, where they roll up the sidewalks around 6 p.m. The view is of office buildings, whereas County Hall has the view you pay for in London. Going to sleep with Big Ben chiming in the background can't be beat. County Hall has easy access to 5 Tube lines vs. Chancery Court's one.
Advantage: County Hall
Building and Rooms
Both are heavily renovated office buildings with excellent preservation of their prior lives. Each excels in similar and diverse ways, from the interior courtyards to the architectural details.
Advantage: This one's a wash.
Rooms
I'm somewhat prejudiced by the beautiful room we had at Chancery Court, but there was nothing wrong with the large room overlooking the Thames at County Hall either. Both rooms offered robes and all the amenities (see Housekeeping). The quality of bedding was better at Chancery Court, although the monogrammed sheets and pillow shams at County Hall were a interesting touch.
Advantage: Chancery Court by a nose.
Housekeeping
In my experience, the housekeeping at Chancery Court is flawless. Everything replenished, afternoon ice service, and evening turndown with towel replacement and those little napkins on the floor next to the bed. Contrast County Hall with no shampoo, etc., Kleenex or coffee supplies replenished without asking. Reorganization of our property by the housekeeper did not add to the experience either.
Advantage: Chancery Court
Dining
Anything has to be better than the nouvelle-artsy cuisine served in the restaurant at Chancery Court. Although just as pretentious, the dining room at County Hall has a much more down-to-earth menu. Chancery Court is plagued by location, as most local restaurants are geared for the nearby businesses and close accordingly. With many more local options (even a McDonald's in the basement), County Hall is the clear winner here.
Executive Lounge
Although both charge substantial prices for alcoholic drinks, Chancery Court's food service is one of the best I've ever seen. Extensive breakfast, evening hors d'ouevres of meal quality and quantity, followed by dessert. Yummy. County Hall's lounge offerings were basic and unimaginative. Breakfast was pretty unimpressive - they actually ran out of food one day, despite not many guests using the facility. Afternoon tea has been cut out (I'm told this used to be quite good), the evening offerings were the same each day and could not be confused with a meal. No dessert selections are provided. The concierges at Chancery Court vary from good to outstanding, but the lounge attendants (not to be confused with concierges) at County Hall are clueless and preoccupied with getting people to sign in, how many guests you have, etc. Only one even knew the lounge hours and services provided without phoning downstairs.
Advantage: Chancery Court in a walk.
Hope no one minds me sharing these opinions - I'm trying to help those who haven't stayed at either property. Both hotels have a lot to offer, so much in fact that price may be the deciding factor. For an award stay it's Chancery Court without hesitation, as long as the lower points advantage is maintained.

What an excellent comparison! Thanks for taking the time. We have debated London Marriotts in many threads. If the original poster will do a search there is a plethora of advice available.
And I vote for County Hall!
