You're going to want to eat as much as possible during breakfast as food is super expensive there. Think $30 for a bowl of miso soup and $35 for a burger and fries (and that was 7 yrs ago).

While it's true that most items on the resort's menus are outrageously priced, the food options utilizing more "local" ingredients tended to be more reasonable IIRC. We also saved money ordering some meals from the pool bar's casual menu instead of dining at the main restaurant.

Can someone tell me what the standard room for points is? Most basic? Beach Front Villa?

So this classic bungalow seems like a made-up room. I'm having trouble finding paid rooms almost any day for that. And they are making zero rooms available for this promotion for December January February and March.

March visit- two rates
Looking at two rates in March that appear to be quite good:
AAA buy 3 get 4th free: Comes to about $400 a night + tax for Over Water Bungalow.
Family Rate: Comes to about $435 a night + tax for Over Water Bungalow. This includes Kids eat free with an adult meal purchase -- i wonder if we can use that at any restaurants? and free access to kids club.
Curious if these are good rates, or if anyone has found something better, as these are refundable?

Just an update. I know people are always looking for good rates here. I was able to book a AAA stay 4 nights get fifth free with a citi prestige card that gets the fourth night free. So you can book 5 nights in an overwater bungalow and pay for only 3 - comes to about $320 a night.

Has anyone stayed in the 1690 sq ft 1 bedroom villa with pool? Overwater had no availability for my dates. The above villa was same price at the much smaller beach bungalow.
Perhaps I should go another time when overwater bungalows are available?

does not actually match up with the room names in the booking engine. For instance the room types are bungalows often, while the engine calls most things villas. I have just booked a "Premier Overwater villa". Is this the same as a "Premium Over-water Bungalow"? Will I have a horizon/mountain view?
I also have a question about the transfer. Would it be feasible to got to the mainland from the airport with the free transfer and then take take the free transfer to the hotel? I will be traveling with just a small backpack. If I can avoid the 100 bucks for the direct transfer from the airport, I would much rather spend it on a beer or two.
