Lifetime points are missing from the profile section of the website and show as 0 in the Marriott mobile app. However, you may be able to use the work-around referenced in this blog post to see your current Lifetime Points.

You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
  1. Go to www.marriott.com and login
  2. Go to https://www.marriott.com/rewards/rewards-program.mi
  3. Click "Nights"
See screenshot of what to click.

If you call Marriott they can also tell you your lifetime points balance.

http://www.marriott.com/marriott/rew...te-benefits.mi As of 20 May, this process does not work. There is no link called "Night Detail" on this page.

To check lifetime balances: (HT to txpenny)
1. Click "Night Detail".
2. Click "Learn More" (under the night total)
3. Click "Marriott Rewards Overview". At this point you're probably no longer logged in (because you've been thrown to an older version of the Marriott website), so log in again.
4. Click "Nights" under your current year's nights. -> The detail you're expecting showing LT nights and points will show up like before.

Lifetime Silver Elite:
250 qualified nights
1.2 million points

Lifetime Gold Elite
500 qualified nights
1.6 million points

Lifetime Platinum Elite
750 qualified nights
2.0 million points

To check your point and night balance, log into your account and click My Account > Account Overview > Nights.

"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights, meeting nights and the nights and points earned on your Marriott Rewards Credit Card."

Points used by members to buyback their previously attained Elite level will be permanently deducted from their Lifetime point balance.

If an elite's point level drops below that required for the level attained, they will drop down to the next Lifetime level until points are accumulated to get them back to the next level.

Lifetime points in addition to nights now display on your Marriott Rewards account. When logged in, click on "Nights" (the blue link below the number representing your current year nights). You'll see the detail of what comprises your current year nights as well as your Lifetime Status nights.

Lifetime Gold Achieved

I just got the 500th night last month to satisfy my Lifetime Gold Requirements. I've had the necessary points (1.6M) for years, just been slowing accumulating the nights.

I was wondering if I'll receive any acknowledgement from Marriott on it? Does the card change in anyway to denote Lifetime Status?

TIA

I've been in the heavy travel for about 9 years now... mostly domestic, which explains why my flying miles are not up there too.

Nice. You must stay at some of the nicer Marriott hotels, as your points/night are far higher than mine. I'm a Fairfield / Courtyard grinder for the most part (all that's available in the areas I travel most).

Yeah, I would have thought most people would hit the nights before the points. 500 nights is 10 years of barely making Gold.

I've got the nights but a ways to go on the points.

I'd be all for that, especially if they somehow backed out all the rollover nights. Of course I'm selfish that way, given that I earned lifetime platinum under the old (harder) rules and without the unnecessary double-night granting that rollover nights have allowed for years now. Make it legitimate butt-in-bed nights for lifetime status!

I completely agree with this one. My actual butt-in-bed nights are more like 900. Pretty easy to say that over the next 6 years I will be closer to 2000 butt-in-bed nights...

Frankly, I feel that Marriott should adjust their program to make it more difficult to attain the lifetime status. Airline lifetime status is far more challenging to attain, and it will take me 10 total years of flying to complete my MM status on UA, and that will get me the basic LT gold status.

Well basically living at the Brooklyn Marriott 75% of the time for almost 2 years got me most of the way there.

Having the Marriott Visa Card has helped on the nights a bit too. That 15 nights a year tends to add up over time.

43 nights and 33K points from Lifetime Platinum... trying to complete the grind. I have ten nights coming up next week (but my understanding is with 2 rooms at the same hotel for the same member, they'll only credit five). Questionable whether or not I will make it before the end of the year...

Only joined MR in 2012. Thank god they got rid of the minimum number of years requirement for Lifetime status.

I really need MR Plat over gold to keep Hertz and UA elite status... that's the real end game

I'm assuming the questionable part is the nights element... If so, a "meeting" or two might seal the deal before the end of the year.

Forgive me for asking this but what's the Hertz deal? Are you talking about the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Five Star status that comes indirectly via UA's MP Premier Silver (via MR Plat)?

Yeah, nights are the issue. Regarding meetings, if I need to do that it's an option. Sealing the deal with lifetime status would be very helpful, and doing it via the meeting approach would definitely be cheaper than additional paid stays.

Correct... Hertz status is really secondary. UA *S via Marriott Platinum is what I need.

It's rough going from UA Plat (115 flights a year) to GM (less than 30 a year; thankfully I matched to silver via MR Plat). At least with UA Silver I can keep group 2 boarding/priority access (the precheck lane gets closed sometimes)/1 free checked bag/free access to Economy Plus at Check-in.

Well, it's unclear whether lifetime Platinum will give you UA elite status.

What I mean by that is that Marriott and SPG are merging, and while Marriott partners with UA, SPG partners with Delta (in a slightly different way, not involving true status though close), and it's unclear at this point which (if either) of those partnerships will survive in the merged program. Keep in mind that these two hotel programs are the only ones with such partnerships (no hotel program has such a partnership with AA), and they were created when Marriott and SPG were competitors.

Meanwhile, every year someone early in the year asks if the UA partnership has been extended another year, because there never seems to advance notice of that, and it's a while after that start of the year before it's confirmed each year (so far). So we likely won't even know until sometime in January 2018 whether the Marriott partnership with UA continues into 2018.

Just made LT plat. Where was my 750th night you might ask? A Towneplace Suites . I feel dirty, but mission accomplished.

That's the open question. Thankfully, I am an idealist who believes either the DL or UA partnership will persevere. LT PLTs thus far tell me it apparently does (coworkers).

As far as changes...
Delta has LGA. Newark has EWR. EWR is definitely stronger.

By all accounts UA seems likely to persist, but if DL did and the status match went there on MR, I'd have to deal with it. One of the two surviving would essentially be my best hope.
