Lifetime points are missing from the profile section of the website and show as 0 in the Marriott mobile app. However, you may be able to use the work-around referenced in this blog post to see your current Lifetime Points.
You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
If you call Marriott they can also tell you your lifetime points balance.
http://www.marriott.com/marriott/rew...te-benefits.mi As of 20 May, this process does not work. There is no link called "Night Detail" on this page.
To check lifetime balances: (HT to txpenny)
1. Click "Night Detail".
2. Click "Learn More" (under the night total)
3. Click "Marriott Rewards Overview". At this point you're probably no longer logged in (because you've been thrown to an older version of the Marriott website), so log in again.
4. Click "Nights" under your current year's nights. -> The detail you're expecting showing LT nights and points will show up like before.
Lifetime Silver Elite:
250 qualified nights
1.2 million points
Lifetime Gold Elite
500 qualified nights
1.6 million points
Lifetime Platinum Elite
750 qualified nights
2.0 million points
To check your point and night balance, log into your account and click My Account > Account Overview > Nights.
"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights, meeting nights and the nights and points earned on your Marriott Rewards Credit Card."
Points used by members to buyback their previously attained Elite level will be permanently deducted from their Lifetime point balance.
If an elite's point level drops below that required for the level attained, they will drop down to the next Lifetime level until points are accumulated to get them back to the next level.
Lifetime points in addition to nights now display on your Marriott Rewards account. When logged in, click on "Nights" (the blue link below the number representing your current year nights). You'll see the detail of what comprises your current year nights as well as your Lifetime Status nights.
You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
- Go to www.marriott.com and login
- Go to https://www.marriott.com/rewards/rewards-program.mi
- Click "Nights"

You will be LTP in the new program. Marriott will be switching to the new program on Aug 18th at 6:00 am est. After what should just be a couple hours of computer downtime, if everything goes right you will be LTP
While we all thought Aug 1 would be the date Marriott recently announced it would be the 18th.

For those of us LT-G seeking to become LT-Plat, anyone know when the switch over will take place?
August was the cutoff month but my account still shows Elite Gold. Others seeing the same?
Checking since I would like to book a few rooms for upcoming honeyroom. Otherwise will book using Hyatt diamond for bennies and more free points.
Thanks!

If Marriott previously awarded you Lifetime Gold Elite, you will be Lifetime Platinum Elite in the combined program.
If you are only currently enjoying Marriott Gold Elite status because SPG previously awarded you Lifetime Gold and you linked your accounts, you will be Lifetime Gold Elite in the combined program.

Do go ahead and book what you want NOW unless you are expecting a rate reduction! Do not wait for fear of inventory going away. Yes, it true that your current status may be what gets sent to the property and only updated if the property refreshes your reservation (they don't push changes). However, once your new status appears, you can call MPG and ask them to refresh your reservation to make sure it reflects your current status.

Does the following still work to help add to Marriott LT points?
- Transfer SPG points to spouse's account (doesn't seem to be a limit of 30k as long as at same address for 30 says) - 50K SPG
- Transfer the lump sum of SPG points from spouses account into spouses Marriott account (50K SPG + 39K SPG = 267K marriott points)
- Transfer lump sum of marriott points in your account (50k limit but can be higher if booking an award)
- Transfer in 103K chase points into primary marriott account
- Book travel package for 330k marriott points
End result: Additional 330k in LT marriott points and a travel package with miles

Question: for gifting points between two Marriott accounts, how quickly is the recipient's LT balance updated? Processed a transfer yesterday. The recipient's account balance is updated, but the LT balance is not.

I'll report back if I can resolve this. The agent on the phone first said they don't count then she checked with her supervisor and they do. But my account doesn't reflect it.

This is a good question. My wife gave me 50,000 points two weeks ago. It should have reduced 50k from her lifetime balance and added 50k to mine. No such luck. I'm on the phone with Marriott right now. This is after two weeks of different tech tickets. It hasn't been resolved and they never responded to the tech tickets. This is beyond frustrating.

This is pretty important for me because I'm a bit short on combined lifetime nights and platinum years, but if years at Gold will count to getting LTPP then I'll be good on years and can try to get to the 750 nights by the end of the year.
Thanks.

Can you please clarify the "+MR Gold" part? I can only find wording that says you will need 10 years combined plat (not gold), like at https://members.marriott.com/faq/#if...-level-in-2018 and on numerous other write-ups.

Do years of Gold in the legacy MR program count as a year of Platinum in the calculation for LTPP?
Yes, your previous years in the Marriott Rewards Program that were Gold Elite will be counted as years at Platinum Elite in the new program. These years are your Lifetime years and will be counted towards any of the lifetime requirements, including Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite. If a member has combined 10 years of Platinum status and 750 combined lifetime nights by 12/31/2018, they will earn Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. <further clarified by Starwood Lurker 06Jun18>
HOW ARE YEARS AT TENURE CALCULATED FOR LEGACY MR AND RCR MEMBERS?
We are keeping members “whole” in the applicable night tier in which they earned their Elite status. Example: If a member has 4 years of Elite status at the 50 night level (Gold Elite status) they will be counted in August and beyond as 4 years at the new 50 night level (Platinum Elite status). Only the names of the levels are changing. How we account for tenure is not changing.
