This property used to be called Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero.

* The hotel is in a great location. About a 5 min walk to the Victor Hugo metro and 10 mins to the Trocadero metro.

* A Casino Supermarket right around the corner (right out the door, right at 1st intersection then a 1-2 minute walk on the left side of street)

Anyone know the email address/contact for this property? I booked a stay via Chase UR portal on points and would like to email the hotel to add my MR # and try to get my Gold benefits (breakfast and room upgrade).

Do any suites here have sofa-bed? Particularly the Junior Suite and
Eiffel Junior Suite, I can see a sofa in the pictures.

Staying here in July 2018 on points. Think pay to upgrade room type
debating about what type of room to aim for. If anyone has experiences
with any upgraded room types please post. Figure it's dicey to count
on Platinum upgrades in high season.

Thanks!

I contacted Trocadero, and after discussion with 2 staff, have elected to pay 200 Euro to upgrade to Executive Suite. We have 2 small children so occupancy satisfied with sofa bed. It surprises me that I have to work directly with hotel staff instead of being able to upgrade via global reservations. Airlines upsell at every turn, why not hotels? Will post a quick review after our July stay.

I see now they are on Twitter as twitter.com/renleparc. So I could have contacted them easier that way, than syncing up phone calls with staff work shifts.

Stayed 5 nights here and redeemed points plus 80EUR/night for a Family Room. It's hard to find a complaint with this place. We did email them ahead of time and mention we were coming with kids.

Arrival
We came from the countryside and took 2 trains to get to our place and ended up at Victor Hugo with a 5min walk from the metro to the hotel which was very easy to find. At check in we were offered our choice of welcome amenity, which was food and drink or points. We took the food and drink and opted for cold cuts and sodas. When we got to our room there was a welcome plate of macarons and other french pastries with a bottle of water and bottle of red French wine from the Bordeaux region. I'm not a red win fan and in hindsight should've asked them to change to white but didn't. Our welcome amenity of cold cuts and soda took 2 phone calls to arrive at our room which was a little annoying. When it finally came though, it was delicious. On the coffee table in the room were gifts for our two boys which included a puzzle, stickers, pirate masks, colouring books, finger puppets and a set of kid-friendly body wash, shampoo, etc. We did mention we would be arriving with kids but did not mention their names but the welcome gifts for the boys each had their names on them. I assume they went to our blog and got their names from there? Either way, impressive.. or creepy.

Room
The room was perfect for our family. We travel with portable travel beds for the kids but the hotel offered to bring two playpens which we declined as the kids sleep well in their beds we travel with. The room was large with a sitting area with couch, two chairs and coffee table. Opposite that was the large and very comfortable king bed with a window looking out to the street and beautiful buildings. The closet was large enough for all of our stuff. One complaint was that there was no fridge at all so we couldn't keep the youngest's bottle, we had to remake each time. The bathroom was a great size with vanity, toilet and large shower with two shower heads. As others have said, only a half wall in the shower which makes the floor wet outside the shower so be sure to place a towel or something down. Every night at turndown service we were left with Toblerones on the bedside table and complimentary water.

Hotel
The hotel is small. There are only 122 rooms ranging from 20-50 square metres. Space is at a premium in Paris and I thought they did a nice job at utilizing what they had. They have an awesome outdoor sitting area which can be used anytime you eat at the restaurant including breakfast. They have a ton of meeting/conference space on the property, which as a regular guest you wouldn't even know exists as it is across the outside sitting area and you would have no reason to go over there other than a meeting/conference. The lobby is small and there isn't a ton of room to go down and sit and get any work done which was a small drawback. Green is the colour they have chosen to run with and it is very consistent throughout the hotel from the lobby to the rooms to the restaurant. It's a rare colour to find in Paris besides greenery so I liked it.

Food
Other than the welcome amenity, the only time we ate at the restaurant was breakfast. The spread was fantastic with everything ranging from fresh pastries to eggs, bacon, waffles, crepes, sausage, to cold cuts, cheese, vegetables to yogurt and museli (with any fixing you wish) to anything you wanted made to order. The waffles were the best waffle I've ever had anywhere. Even wafles & dinges in New York was surpassed by these waffles. I usually had about 4 each morning I just couldn't resist. They didn't even need syrup. Pastries were all excellent and you could tell they were fresh. I had a made to order omelette one morning which was excellent and very filling. You're always offered tea or coffee when seated but we always opted for juice. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is delightful. They also have this strawberry juice which was my go to each morning. Breakfast was included for me as a Marriott Plat, I assume it would be for Gold as well. The breakfast was 31EUR per person regularly so it brings excellent value to your stay. Having two young kids in tow, we opted to bring breakfast back to our room most mornings and there was no charge for that. They even provided a tray for us and helped us when needed which was a huge help to us.

Surrounding Area
We bought Navigo metro passes and we definitely got our use out of them. Victor Hugo and Trocadero metro stations are almost equal distance in opposite directions and serve different trains so depending on where you're going your walk is no more than 5 minutes. Trocadero stop is right by Trocadero Square which has an awesome view of the ET. Also, the little shop by the Square has some the cheapest crepes we found in all of Paris and they're excellent. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but nothing in Paris is cheap to eat so we opted for mostly take away.

Overall
100% would stay here again. The value is excellent and even paying the extra 80EUR/night I don't mind for the size of room we got in Paris where rooms are usually tiny. The food was great, service was always top notch and nothing really went wrong that would deter us from going back.

Edit: for transparency's sake, yes this is my first post, yes this is an account under my blog's name, no I did not have any sponsorship for this stay or any "special treatment" from the hotel. One commenter, who has since deleted his comment, raised suspicion regarding this review because it seemed like an advertisement for the hotel and it was my first post. Again, there was no sponsorship or special benefits or anything like that for this stay. My review in the above was to bring a recent thorough review to the thread and that was all. Apologies if this seems advertised but I can promise you it is not. We had a really great time at this hotel and honestly was hard to find a negative with the hotel which I was the review was so positive. Cheers!

Just booked a stay here, Nov 28 to Dec 2, 2018 on points. As a Platinum Premier Elite + Ambassador member, what can I expect in terms of amenities and upgrade potential? My s.o. and I have never been to Paris and wanted some place near the main tourist areas.

Can you tell us how your stay was? Thinking of using a 5 night travel package certificate here. Thank you.

Any recent stay reports here as Platinum+?

i have a fully flexible and refundable booking in next June (Member rate - no prepayment or deposit required at all) but they already charged my credit card the total cost of stay.

very annoying to contact marriott customer service to fix this mess.

Yes, I have.
This is definitely a boutique hotel, reception and the lobby are small but modern, with a bar at one end. I was upgraded to a suite Via SNAs, which was quite large when you consider European standards . Breakfast is buffet and adequate, I found out on the last day that you could order omelets and the like from the kitchen, seating a little tight so go early. There is a lovely courtyard that was being remodeled, but Im sure it should be completed by now. Location is excellent, just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumph. Metro stops a few blocks in opposite directions. Concierge mixed reviews, one excellent and helpful, the other a little aloof and arrogant. Would I stay there again ? Yes.

Stayed here a few weeks ago.
Didn't get upgraded.
Was given a room a couple floors above the court yard.
No troubles getting a 16:00 check out with two days notice.
Apples, bottled water and bottled sports drink in the gym.

Moderator team, can you please rename this thread to reflect the property's new name - Renaissance Paris Nobel Tour Eiffel Hotel?

I thought the Renaissance Nobel (formerly Trocadero) was decent compared to my expectations for a Paris property. As it was less expensive than other options, I felt good about it. Here are my pros, cons, and photos:

Pros:
  • Room was generally clean
  • Relatively nice and open view from the top floor (7)
  • Shower pressure from the wand was good
  • Had to ask, but no issue with 4 PM late checkout
  • Brought some chocolate covered nuts and alcohol free wine as a welcome gift
  • Staff was generally friendly
  • Croissants at breakfast were good
Neutral:
  • Bed was fine as I slept well, but the mattress should be updated to be less firm and springy, and the covers could be thicker (pillows were good)
  • Upgraded a few days in advance to a Garden View "Larger" room - but no upgrade beyond that (no suites showed online the day before arrival)
Cons:
  • Shower glass did almost nothing to prevent water from getting on the floor, and the floor of the tub was too narrow for easily adjusting your position
  • Breakfast service was very much a case of chasing people down, they don't tell you they will make omelets, the omelets come out wrong (no ham as I asked for), the bacon looked scary, and the pancakes had a poor texture
Overall, for the price, it was fine.
