I've been searching through this thread for an answer, but didn't find anything exactly so just figured I'd ask. I'm quite sure it's been brought up though. How long does it take to get the $10k points once you make your first purchase? I ask because Im looking to get some last minute points before a trip to Australia and this looks way better than hilton. Also, any harm in applying for the business card and the personal card shortly after eachother? thanks

Unlike most cards issuers -- which credit bonuses only at the end of a staement cycle -- Amex posts signup bonuses within a day or so after you meet the spend target. So you got that goin' for you, which is nice.

was just approved for the SPG business card, but the application section for the SPG number only let me put in 10 numbers, but my membership number is 11 digits Wondering if I should contact them about this. Also, they gave me a temporary credit card number to use until my card gets here, if I use that will that count as my spend on the new card so I'll get more 10,000 point signup bonus quicker?

Long shot but I'd figured I'd ask, if anyone is going to be signing up for the personal card anytime in the near future could you drop me a PM, a friend needs an extra 10k points to transfer to alaska airlines so we can book this flight to malaysia on emirates, she is currently doing ms to get her min spend done but after the 30k (25k+5k spend) she'll have she'll need 10k more, a referral bonus or two would really help out!

How long after people hit the $5K spend are the 15K bonus points showing up ?
I hit the spend just before my statement closed this week but no 15K.
SPG chat says wait 6-8 weeks
Thanks

I had to remove my middle initial from my SPG account profile to be linked with Delta (so the names where identical). This middle initial is still on my American Express card (as I've had it for many years). My SPG # has stayed the same. Should I anticipate any problems with my points transferring from American Express to SPG due the lack of a middle initial on my SPG account and name therefore not being identical to my American Express card?
