SPG INSTANT AWARDS

SPG Participation Policy

There are no standard rooms at this resort; therefore, Starpoint Award reservations must be booked at a higher Starpoint rate through your local customer contact center. Also, since all accommodations are either suites or villas, upgrades for Starwood Preferred Guest members do not apply.

Non-Smoking Policy

The resort is committed to providing guests and associates with an enhanced quality of air and environment by providing 100% non-smoking guest rooms, suites, and villas. Violations of this policy will incur a 250 USD penalty. Designated smoking areas are available in public areas.

Seclusion Day Information: March 9, 2016

Nyepi, known as the “Day of Silence,” marks the celebration of the Balinese New Year in the Hindu Lunar calendar. A spectacular procedure of ceremonies, parades of great bamboo monsters, and fireworks occur on the Eve of Nyepi, followed by a day of total silence and seclusion. The community strongly believes that if the island is silent and dark, the bad spirits will leave and the new year will start in peace. During Nyepi, from 6am until 6am the next day, the island stops. Nobody is allowed in the streets, use of electricity is restricted, and the international airport is closed.

In 2016, Nyepi will fall on Wednesday, March 9. Please note that check-in and checkout will not be possible on Nyepi Day, and Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) will be closed. Some of the resort facilities will operate as usual; however, there will be no transportation services to and from the resort, and televisions will not be available. Lights will be dimmed inside and there will be no outdoor lighting. Our pools and garden areas will still be accessible except for the beach. Only indoor seating will be available at Boneka Restaurant. Gourmand Deli will close at 8pm. King Cole Bar will remain closed.

We kindly invite you to respect this sacred day and observe these restrictions. Normal activity in Bali will resume at 6am on Thursday, March 10.

They reached out to me about 3 weeks before I arrived. Honestly, this was one of my favorite parts of the stay - getting off the plane and having someone with my name on an iPad and escorting me through customs. The line was very long and would have probably taken at least an hour had it not been for this service. Here's the email address that reached out to me - [email protected]

Ritz vs St Regis

It is then just a question of determining value which includes the cost aspect. It is a value judgement for an individual to determine if the cost difference is worthwhile.
Booked Ritz Carlton for 36K per night and just found St Regis for 60k. I have a reservation at both until I can decide which one. Staying 10 nights in Bali. Could do 5 nights at each or just do St Regis. Also, I am a Plat and was hoping for free breakfast as Amenity choice, is that possible? I don’t think it’s an option at Ritz?

St Regis or Ritz or 5 nights at each? I value my points, so 24k more per night, is St Regis worth it?

Thank you for your opinion!

I think our opinions already demonstrate that we believe the StR to be better than the RC. You already know that free breakfast is offered at the StR and not the RC.

Now you must choose for yourself what is best for you and yours. Good luck.

Breakfast looks great!

Do you by any chance know if the breakfast is included for plat premier only or plat elite also?

Does anyone know if I add a 5 years old to my room, what will I be paying for adding her plus the breakfast? (We have plat elite and plat premier).

thanks

I'm only a Plat Elite but I did book the breakfast rate, since we were 3 adult and 1 kid during check-in they suggested me to take 2 breakfast welcome amenity which then give me breakfast for 4 and a roll-away bed free of charge.

But I think they should give kids free breakfast, especially if you're plat premiere

Do you know if the Welcome Amenity for Breakfast applies for one day or the entire stay? Thanks!

Thanks! I'll be staying for 2 nights in April, so that's good to know.

Just to contrast with reports above - we stayed in a pool suite in mid-January and had no issues with mosquitoes. Loved the plunge pool and the service was absolutely outstanding.

Another data point, I have booked with points (award redemption) and it says I cannot apply my SNA to the reservation, so they may have stopped accepting them.

The SNA was just from there regular suite to a plunge pool suite. It's not that significant of an upgrade and our plunge pool was unusable due to the mosquitoes. I would have preferred to have been on a high floor with a balcony and a view.

I had a SNA applied to a future stay, but when I checked my reservation, it said that they don't accept them for this property. Anyone know if this is a Marriott IT issue or they're really not accepting SNAs?

does anyone know if this property still includes complimentary airport transfers and fast track with all bookings? a couple of my friends have made points bookings and are being told that this is no longer provided. what i'm unclear on is whether it's unavailable to all, or just those on points bookings.

that’s disappointing to hear they’ve nixed this on points. This service was amazing and it was great to bypass the large queue at customs.
