I hope ya'll are enjoying your $10/night "resort fee". Based on the hotels lies about it and that its another franchise from Columbia Sucks Corp, I won't be staying there again.

It appears that the owners of the LV Westin, Columbia Sussex, are being investigated by the NV Nevada Gaming Control Board....

And were "urged" to withdraw their application for operating a casino in Missouri after the Missouri Gaming Commission found serious issues with their business operations and financial status.
The Atlantic City issue was not only a gaming issue, another part was the cost cutting CS did after taking over that has left the resort a dirty, customer service failure. They were also fined $750,000 for not having the required independent audit committee (for 6 months) required by NJ regulations.

After a 4 nights stay in Westin Casuarina......
Only one word: BAD !
Old hotel
poor breakfast
no gold upgrade
no wellcome gift
old rooms
no help with the luggages
Minibar broken !!!!
If I come back to Las Vegas I will go to the Cesar's Palace or Bellagio.
NEVER TO THE WESTIN ! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !
Vote: -10 !!!

Old? What do you mean by "old" hotel and rooms? What is your definition of "old" please explain?

Based on these comments it appears your "expectations" were not in line with the realities reported here in this thread.
Did you do any research on this property before booking????

soitgoes- Thanks for your feedback.
One thing we constantly struggle with, as far as platinum guests go, is consistency. If we are to offer a free breakfast or free drink, at our property alone as a "bonus", do you come to expect it from every property?
We've got the Platinum Amenity cards which is obviously throughout the majority of the brands, but offering other bonuses gets a little tricky.
Ex: There is a Four Points in the midwest that we share a corporate client with, they started offering all of their Golds and higher a free drink coupon, those elites show up at our property and expect it from us as well.
As an elite, How would you suggest we combat that or make it clear that this isn't program wide and is just a little something extra we're trying to do?

This is a textbook example of what FPHotelGuy was saying yesterday:
So, some hotels have been generous and given you extras and now it's expected of this one as well.

I have not gone back to read all of this thread but I know this...
I've stayed at this hotel twice, once for $55/night and once for $65/night. Both were though Priceline.com wins (thanks to the guidance of www.biddingfortravel.com).
WHAT A STEAL!!!
If you pay SPG rates you are a sucker ... if your company books there you got shafted because the points are not worth it.
