Which fee in which hotel? I hold a booking for the PH but there is nothing mentioned about a fee. If they charge me the 10 $ I will not pay.

Starwood would be wise to extract themselves from relations with this company as soon as possible. They already lost their license to operate the Tropicana in Atlantic City:

http://www.usatoday.com/money/indust...ropicana_N.htm

And were "urged" to withdraw their application for operating a casino in Missouri after the Missouri Gaming Commission found serious issues with their business operations and financial status.

The Atlantic City issue was not only a gaming issue, another part was the cost cutting CS did after taking over that has left the resort a dirty, customer service failure. They were also fined $750,000 for not having the required independent audit committee (for 6 months) required by NJ regulations.

Old hotel
old rooms
Please explain in greater detail.
Old? What do you mean by "old" hotel and rooms? What is your definition of "old" please explain?

no gold upgrade
In a hotel with very frew suites (I think I reported there are only 8 or 10), what kind of upgrade were you expecting when the floor plates, except the top floor, are identical?

no wellcome gift
First, what is a "wellcome" gift? What type of "gift" were you expecting at this property? In general as an SPG Gold, what kind of "gift" have you received in the past, since that is not apart of the published benefits as a SPG Gold member.

no help with the luggages
Luggage is not plural. (sorry, I'm cranky this morning), what happened, please explain why you felt you were not helped?

Minibar broken !!!!
Did you alert the hotel to the issue or just came here to complain?

Based on these comments it appears your "expectations" were not in line with the realities reported here in this thread.

Did you do any research on this property before booking????

This is a textbook example of what FPHotelGuy was saying yesterday:

soitgoes- Thanks for your feedback.

One thing we constantly struggle with, as far as platinum guests go, is consistency. If we are to offer a free breakfast or free drink, at our property alone as a "bonus", do you come to expect it from every property?

We've got the Platinum Amenity cards which is obviously throughout the majority of the brands, but offering other bonuses gets a little tricky.

Ex: There is a Four Points in the midwest that we share a corporate client with, they started offering all of their Golds and higher a free drink coupon, those elites show up at our property and expect it from us as well.

As an elite, How would you suggest we combat that or make it clear that this isn't program wide and is just a little something extra we're trying to do?
So, some hotels have been generous and given you extras and now it's expected of this one as well.

I wouldnt expect anything from any Hotel if I was only a Gold at check-in.

Im a Plat and wondering why they didnt send a Chauffer Bentley over to LAS to pick me up. And dont tell me they didnt know what day and time I was flying in. They should have had that car and driver there 24/7 just in case I decided to fly in

Now that the Nevada Gaming Commission has gone public about it's concerns with Columbia Sucks Corp., any word from Starwood?

meanwhile, this property inches closer to the top of the unofficial FlyerTalk "avoid at all costs" list, joining the illustrious list that includes; Sheraton Manhattan, Four Points South Beach, Westin LAX...

I have not gone back to read all of this thread but I know this...

I've stayed at this hotel twice, once for $55/night and once for $65/night. Both were though Priceline.com wins (thanks to the guidance of www.biddingfortravel.com).

WHAT A STEAL!!!

If you pay SPG rates you are a sucker ... if your company books there you got shafted because the points are not worth it.
