Hi All,
Any recent comparisons between this one and the Fuerteventura? As context, I've dropped to SGP Gold so I'm not platinum, but I DO have the business credit card, which includes club access at Sheratons. We'll be traveling with an 18 month old. Thanks!

We stayed for 8 nights as a points stay mid-August. 2 adults and a 22 month old.
There are 2 pools, the one close to the main hotel building is the kids one where they can use inflatables so gets really lively. We spent our time at the lower pool which is salt water and one end is shallow like a beach that you can walk into.
There's a kids club but you can't leave little ones there. We went in quite often to play with her - there's a slide, a couple of playhouses, lots of scooters/trikes and a few books. The older ones have activities through the day
We didn't dine in the hotel restaurants as it was never worthwhile when the wee one would get bored and want to explore. There's a pizza place and a dino supermarket just across the road so we would do takeways and eat on our balcony. There's a fridge in the room.
Gold member and received an upgrade one room category, which meant that we got robes and slippers... Some of the rooms would be quite noisy due to the entertainment in the evenings, but ours (216) was very quiet. We didn't have lounge access. Topped up water bottles twice a day, but easier to buy 60c 2 litre bottles from the shop.
There is an awesome roof terrace on the top floor, with a full panorama. It's separate to any club lounge, anyone can take a lift to the top floor and see.
You can walk along the coast to the Fanabe/Torviscas/Duque strip in 15/20 minutes which is a bit more exciting than the Caleta end of things if you want to go out and socialise.
The beach just outside the hotel is rocky and quite poor, but the Duque beach was nice.
We hired a car from the airport with autoreisen, and parked it in the streets around the hotel. Lots of space, and free parking there. We picked it up from TFS, and dropped in TFN after staying in Puerto de la Cruz a few nights.
We met a few guests who thought Tenerife a little dull compared to Fuerteventura where they'd stayed other times. That was for older kids though - we thought La Caleta was great for little ones if you are happy to stay with them all the time.
Cot-wise, it was a standard spanish issue metal tube one. They remind me of hospital gurneys, but she slept well enough.
Overall good times. It's not a full 5 star really, but the facilities are quite good and we had a good stay.

I have been to Fuerteventura Shraton loads of time and we love it....been to Tenerife Sheraton twice - tbh prefer the Fuerteventura one, though the surrounding resort is nicer in Tenerife.
Any questions feel free to ask - a review I wrote a couple of years back is largely still true. We most recently went in Aug - had a great time though the manager was on his way out (actually while we wree there ) and there were a few service issues mainly in the bars and resturant - didnt discourage us from going back though.

I’m contemplating a short (Paid) stay in March:
Club Floor Room, Guest room, 1 King, Sea view, High floor, Balcony
Member Rate Advance Purchase with Breakfast, prepay in full, non-refundable if cancelled more than 1 day after booking, no changes
Rate is basically €1,000 for 4 nights.
Are there any views on what benefits I’ll actually get by booking a club floor room?
What is the Club Lounge like?
Im Lifetime Platinum Premier if that makes a difference.
Many thanks in advance

As a Premier Platinum member there is no need to book a CLUB room (floor 4-5). A standard room is fine (about 175 Euro for 1 person only).
If the hotel is not fully booked you may expect an upgrade anyway to a club room or similar or even to a suite.
As PP member you get free access to the Club Lounge on the ground floor. In addition there is a nice breakfast room near the pool.
Non PP member (even they have paid for a CLUB room) have no access to the Club Lounge or the breakfast area near the pool.
It's a little bit confusing for non Platinum members.
My last stay was in Nov/Dec for 25 days (as PP) booked as C+P and got a wonderful upgrade to a Suite with perfect view over the garden and ocean and of course access to the Club facilities free of charge. Parking underground is also free of charge and very convenient.
I highly recommend the hotel and will be back later this year for another 25-30 days!
Enjoy

If you are not a PP member (but have paid for a Club room) you have no access to the Club Lounge or the breakfast area near the pool. You have to pay an extra charge (25 Euro?)
You are a Platin member and therefore you have unlimited access to the lounge and breakfast area
Enjoy!

Checked in to the hotel to discover it is selling the exact same room type and benefits for 172 Euros per night for our dates compared to 224 which we are paying.
No upgrade (although many upgraded rooms are available for our stay, which is typical for this hotel) so no incentive to stick with existing room.
The best rate guarantee only applies to rival websites so I presume there’s not much I can do besides cancel the existing reservation, make a new one, then check out and check in again?

Nope, it’s the exact same room type, view, floor, bed type, occupancy, member rate and breakfast. There are several other categories also available for less.
I’m a Lifetime Platinum and this is my 14th stay here. Never been upgraded here so I do not expect it (this hotel hates SPG/Marriott Rewards customers) but I object to being ripped off!
