Apparently they have complimentary Wifi. So as SPG Gold, I choose bonus Starpoints, which I have learnt are just 250 points
Actually I believe it is 125 at 4pts.

Question for Phil: are we supposed to receive points for self parking charges? It appears that I did not on my stay.

It would be that for Gold members. Platinum members would get 250.

I'm not Phil, but parking charges aren't eligible to earn Starpoints.

No official free parking AFAIK, but there's free street parking starting a block or two away (toward all the nearby rental car facilities) and stretching on for many many blocks in a couple directions. You need to check the signs for when there's no parking for street cleaning, but other than that you can park there to your heart's delight. You have to decide therefore whether you prefer to park further away for free (at least most of the time) or pay for the convience of the closer (and perhaps more secure?) official hotel parking.

(I've only parked there overnight on weekends, so I don't remember what the weekday parking restrictions, if any, are.)

Couple of questions...

Anyone out there a frequent user of our 24 Hour Check-In/Check-Out program and willing to speak with a reporter? Please let me know today or tonight.

Also, The Burger King which located across the street doesn't tow-away your car.
I parked overnight many times. But it's your choice, of course.
If something happen to your car, you can't blame me.

24 hour check-in/check-out on points...

Can we take advantage of the 24 hour check-in/check-out for a stay that is paid with points (Aeroplan)?

Our program is different than the Starwood overall program in that we make it available to all guests - the guideline is rates higher than $119. Just let us know 48 hours in advance and we'll have a room ready for you and you can keep it 24 hours.

You can simply fill out a form on our website to make it easy.

Best,

Phil

Parking on the street is *much* safer and more secure - I would never chance leaving my rental or personal car in a store parking lot overnight, especially in that area.

phil -
love the fact you are the most candid and helpful GM i've ever seen on the boards... i've got a 5 night stay somewhere in the LAX area and i was wondering if you guys still didn't do the green choice prgm? the extra 2500 pts (4 nights + 500 pt amenity) are the only thing making me consider the sheraton.

thanks!!

Happy to try to work something out. We don't do the Green Choice currently. I'm on vacation for two weeks starting Monday so pm me with your email address today or tomorrow if you can. Cheers, Phil

BTW - Maybe seeing us listed on the Top 7 Beer Locations in North America by the Travel Channel might influence your decision!

Headed here tonight. I'm particularly looking forward to the beer selections, as a mega-avowed beer geek!

Just a head's up for those of you who PM me. I'm going to be on holiday out of the Country from Tuesday the 25th through August the 8th. I won't be able to check posts or PMs. If you want to give us a head's up on your stay please call the hotel directly at 310.645.4500 and ask for the Front Office Manager On Duty or Maria in Reservations. Please feel free to identify yourself as one of Phil's Flyertalk buddies. Thanks for your business!!! Phil GM

Great hotel. I had 635, which was a rather large corner room. Went to Brewster's for a bit of food and drink last night - tried a couple small samples of beers on tap and I was very impressed. One of the best selections I've seen at a hotel ever.

Was also surprised when I came back to my room and found someone trying to deliver me fresh cookies. I'm on low carb, so I turned them down, but it was a very nice gesture.
