The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Lombok, Indonesia [Master Thread]
 

This new property will open Q4-2024 on Lombok. Seems like it will be a stunning property.

The hotel is located on the North-Western part of the Island opposite Gili Air Island and near the Oberoi Lombok.

Finally there will be more Marriott hotels available beside the Sheraton Sengigi (which is desperately in need of a full renovation). I will be on Lombok in a few days and can report back with some photos.

Point bookings are now available starting Nov 15 for as low as 27K pts/night vs cash rates of ~$400 + tax.

Stunning location. Close to other high end hotels like Hotel Tugu, The Oberoi and Lombok Lodge. And it was indeed The Legian Lombok, which opened in early 2020 and was nog long lasting. It's a perfect location to combine with a visit to one of the Gili Islands. From the airport it's around 1.5 to 2 hours driving.

Made a booking for this resort recently, got an email from a reservation agent at Sira shortly after with the weekly program they follow. The cost of transfer to/from the airport one way, 570k idr for the premium transfer and 1.5m idr for the luxury transfer. The premium transfer is the same vehicle that bluebird premium (grab/uber equivalent available on lombok) use and is roughly the same cost.

27k points per night for me but there's a couple of nights that go as low as 23k.

Does anyone know how much a Grab transfer from the airport (LOP) to the hotel would be? When I try to enter the names of the airport or the hotel on the Grab app, it doesn't seem to recognize them.

Grab does not work on Lombok I believe? Bluebirds most basic option was around 300k idr.

Grab works perfectly fine on Lombok International Airport, in Mataram and Senggigi area. Think the rate will be around 300 to 350k.

To be honest, their Innova pricing is pretty good.

What's Innova?

Toyota Innova is a more premium car, more comfortable car. The luxury service is mostly executed by Toyota Alphard.

A model of Toyota 7-seater that (I presume) is the Grab XL or Plus option.

Any reviews? any season/months to avoid?

Worthy of note, my 5 night reservation for next month started at 168K pts. Diligent attention brought it down to 116K pts. Sadly, that seems to be the bottom as it’s started creeping up (now at 144K pts). But I’m happy at 29K pts/night plus 5th night free.

Let us know how did you like the hotel after your visit. In Autumn we will be doing a combo of 5 nights at The Sira followed by 6 nights at Ta'aktana (with 1 night in Bali in between). I hope that you will enjoy your time at The Sira similarly as you enjoyed Ta'aktana!
