Minos Beach Art Hotel, Crete, a Member of Design Hotels™ [Master Thread]

Hello, any experience with upgrades for Elite members ? It looks that the hotel joined Marriott in 2022 and I can not find any relevant info.
Thanks a lot

I've been wondering about this hotel as well since we like Crete. Agios Nikolaos doesn't seem to have as many nice resorts as Elounda does and I found the town to not have that overall "vacation" feel. It does appear that the Minos Beach property is on the road out of Agios Nikolaos on the way to Elounda so it's not in town which would likely put it out of contention for us to book. As for elite benefits, remember that Design Hotels typically offer less benefits than other brands.....I don't think they have to offer free breakfast but I would double check the T&C. As far as upgrades, I think this is going to depend on occupancy and other factors as well as your status.

It actually looks quite peaceful, but 116500 Marriott points vs 270 euro on some dates...

Thanks christianj ! If I remember well (almost 20+ years) this is isolated place close to the the sea side. I will do some pictures and post it after I will visit them.

Thanks! Just wondering, did you book a paid stay or with points? Rates seem to be pretty good and based on what escapefromphl said the points requirement seemed ridiculous.
