most romantic marriott property in the US
Would anyone care to make suggestions for the most romantic Marriott group property in the us (ie anywhere that wouldn't require a passport, so hawaii, usvi, etc included).
Suggestions could be for a property overall, or a special room at a property.
TIA

What is your idea of romantic? Food? Spa? View? Adventure?
My first thoughts go to a property in a wine region like The Lodge at Sonoma - especially if you get a cottage - but sure others would tend towards a Hawaii or USVI property. Or a NYC /other city high end experience.

The Sheraton Times Square can have definite Stockholm Syndrone effects.
More conventionally, I really appreciate the Oceanfront rooms of the old building at the Mauna Kea.

I've never seen more romance than in the geriatric conga line and slow dancing in the lobby nightly at the Moana Surfrider - makes me feel #alone ;-)

I like the wine country idea, we have stayed at that Marriott in Sonoma and also the Westin Verasa in Napa - combine it with a lunch on the Wine Train, they have one-ways that end with a tour of one of the castle-like wineries.
I'm also dorkier than most here and I like the San Antonio Riverwalk, I haven't been to the Cloudveil in Jackson Hole but we thought the Tetons were very romantic. We also like New Orleans a lot so maybe the Ritz Carlton there?
You seem to want a beach vacation since you also mentioned Hawaii, USVI, but thought I'd suggest some non-beach places.

I like Marriott Wentworth by the Sea in New Hampshire where The Portsmouth Peace Treaty was signed in 1905.

I also like The Inn at Bay Harbor on Lake Michigan.
