  • Free night (1-7 category)
While 75+ nights at Marriott gets you:
  • 5 Suite Night Awards (if they even clear...), 5 EQNs, or 40% off a mattress that's insanely marked up and almost always 30% off to the general public anyway
  • 1 free night up to 40k points, or 5 more SNAs
Marriott's choice benefits are an absolute joke.
To be fair, if you are US based with a Brilliant and Biz card, you would only need 35 nights to receive those two options, while you would need 55 nights with Hyatt with their Biz and Personal card. And if you have 35 nights with each on top of the credit cards, you would earn:
  • the 5 SNA's,
  • a 40k free night,
  • unlimited lounge access with your Titanium status,
  • United Silver status,
  • and the chance of upgrades to suites.
35 nights at Hyatt gets you to 40 with the 5 nights for the Personal card, and you would get:
  • 4 club lounge access awards,
  • a cat 1-4 free night (up to 15K points),
  • 5K points or a $100 GC,
  • along with Discoverist status with a chance of upgrades to non-suites.
Sure, top tier at Hyatt is more rewarding, but not everybody will be staying 55+ nights a year. If you are, enjoy your Hyatt status. I agree with earlier comments that it would be nice if Bonvoy rewarded for additional nights tiers to encourage more stays, but they obviously feel they are offering enough to acquire the number of elites that they want.

Besides, 5+ years ago, 75 nights with Marriott Rewards earned you no choice awards.

Damn this Annual Choice Benefit selection. I will end the current double night promo - and indeed April - with 49 nights. 49!

Still one more tantalising night to go before I can even consider selecting 5 SNAs now the selection process has been activated.

I wish they'd kept it as coming next month in perpetuity so I wouldn't feel so strongly that I was missing out.

It'd be great if SNAs were maybe changed to TSUs, one per stay rather than per night, and then limit them to Titanium/Ambassador maybe. Sure, it'd be a paper devaluation of Platinum, but at least I'd feel motivated to actually stay past 75 nights. I'm projected to end at ... 76 nights for the year and will probably call it quits (or free agent even).

Is this the latest the Annual Choice Benefit (ACB) has ever opened?

Looks like it's open now. Maybe. Just made my selections and have been watching a spinning wheel for quite a while now, so dunno if it worked or not.

I'm guessing not. This is on a Mac desktop using Safari.

{edit:} Definitely Not. Page changed to Something Went Wrong with a Try Again button. I'll maybe wait a few days.

Just worked for me, and timing couldn't be better as I board a flight to Europe later today. Here's hoping they post soon.

The FNA posted almost immediately; no sign of the SNAs so far.

Same here. My confirmation email lists both FNA and SNAs so I am not worried. I would give Bonvoy a few days.

I selected the 40K FNA and SNAs - as above, the FNA posted immediately. I adjusted one of my upcoming 42K redemptions to use the certificate + 2K topup, so I was able to deposit 40K points back into my account. The redemption itself is 1.6 USD cents per point, so I'm quite happy.

The SNAs have not yet posted, but I imagine I'll see them soon (and didn't have any urgent redemptions coming up).
