may you confirm/comment on the details of the promotion for overlapping stays. I read conflicting comments in this forum and in other blogs.
1. The checkin date is before Feb 7 and the checkout date is after Feb 7 (but before Apr 23). My assumption: Yes, the nights after Feb 7 until checkout date will be eligible for the promotion. They count double and will get 1000 bonus points/night. The nights before Feb 7 will not count towards this promotion.
2. The checkout date is after Apr 23. (Checkin might be either before or after Feb 7.) My assumption: None of the nights will count towards this promotion, as it says in the T&Cs: "Only eligible paid stays completed after registration and during the promotion earning period will qualify toward the promotion."

Stayed 1 night in a hotel from 7 to 8 February.
Stay posted in less than 24 hours after checkout.
Regular points and the extra 1000 bonus for this promotion points also awarded.
The DOUBLE night credit however is still missing....only showing as the 1 night I stayed, not 2 as per promotion.
Hopefully will update and/or correct in the next 7 days

My two cents, worth one: for those chasing status, make sure you enjoy the journey. The destination is not worth it. This is my third year as Ambassador and the experience distills to a perpetual defensive posturing fighting for what they told you was yours. It's gotten to the point where at check-ins I have to expressly ask - mechanistically - if they have my Ambassador Status on file. Of course they do, "thank you for your loyalty" is the bloom. Outside my regular properties, upgrades are a joke, I have to seek the breakfast coupons, and lounges seem to be populated with wide-eyed guests who simply found the door before it closed to "see what it is all about". And nothing is more pleasing than the "We've received your request for a late checkout. Please reach out to the front desk for the status of your request." message on the app. Such joy.
Marriott Ambassador is, again, my 2c, a categorical joke.
ETA: I suppose the restoration of "Personal Ambassador" is something to look forward to. But I'm betting "mid-2023" works out to being something just before the holidays in Q4. A substantial amount of the benefit to Marriott was in the announcement.
I’ve used the Your24 maybe 3-4 times which was a nice benefit of the status though.

How are the bonus elite nights calculated for back-to-back cash/award nights?
For example, if I have a 7-night stay, with 5 nights being paid with cash, and 2 nights with points (separate bookings), how many elite nights will I get in the end? Under the assumption that the separate bookings would be merged.
As 5 x 2 + 2 = 12 nights? As 7 x 2 = 14 nights (least likely)? As 7 nights (since the stays would be merged, and the entire stay wouldn't be considered as paid stay)?
For example, if I have a 7-night stay, with 5 nights being paid with cash, and 2 nights with points (separate bookings), how many elite nights will I get in the end? Under the assumption that the separate bookings would be merged.

The 2 award nights would be posted anyways, even if without 2x bonus.
There's a contradiction in the T&C, exactly the reason for my doubts.
- The promotion earning period is for eligible paid nights: that may be interpreted in the sense that paid nights would be doubled, even if they are part of a longer stay which also includes award nights.
- Only eligible paid stays ... will qualify toward the promotion: that may be interpreted in the sense that only stays including 100% paid nights qualify.
The 2 award nights would be posted anyways, even if without 2x bonus.There's a contradiction in the T&C, exactly the reason for my doubts.
