Possible to convert Chase Boundless to Bevy to get additional 15 nights?
OK, So I got a Chase Boundless card earlier this year and received credit for 15 nights stayed toward status as a sign up bonus.
I have since seen that Amex offers a Bonvoy business card which also offers 15 nights credit for signup but NOT if you already have the Chase Boundless card. However, if you have the Chase Bevy card, you can actually stack another 15 night credit up ontop of the chase one. Just wondering if anyone has managed to get the additional 15 nights from the Amex business card? Do you think it would be possible to ask Chase to convert the Boundless card to a Bevy and then qualify for the Amex sign up? |

I believe (although I'm not sure), you may still be able to signup for the AMEX business card to get the additional 15 nights but you are not eligible for the signup bonus. |
The Marriott Bonv∘y Bevy AmEx card is indeed issued by American Express. One cannot convert cards across brands.

Yes. I was mistakenly thinking the Bevy card was a chase product. It is not as you point out.
It is too bad as you CAN stack the 15 night sign up bonuses if you get both a Amex personal and Amex business Bonvoy cards, but not a chase personal plus Amex business. Per Amex's offer terms and conditions inbound below… Welcome offer not available to applicants who (i) have or have had the Marriott Bonvoy® Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Business Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Business® Credit Card from Chase, or the Marriott Rewards® Business Credit Card from Chase in the last 30 days, (ii) have acquired the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card from Chase, in the last 90 days, or (iii) received a new Card Member bonus offer in the last 24 months on the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card from Chase, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase, or the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card from Chase. |

The 15 nights credit is not a sign up bonus. It's an ongoing benefit of holding the card. So this verbiage does not apply. Having the Chase Boundless personal card does not preclude you from getting 15 nights from the Amex business card. The rule is that you can only get the elite nights credit from a single consumer card, and a single business card. So the Boundless precludes you from getting more nights credit from other consumer cards like the Chase Bountiful / Bold or the Amex Bevy. (If you have the Amex Brilliant, you get 25 nights from that card, and no other consumer card.) On top of the 15 / 25 nights from consumer cards, you are then free to get another 15 nights from the Amex business card. |

The quoted language indeed applies to a sign-up bonus (SUB), not to this annual benefit of holding the card(s). |
Hmm..
I have the boundless and was planning to wait 90days to get the Amex business card with sign on bonus and 30nights.
And then sign up the free consumer one by end of next year with sign on bonus and still gets the 15nights and Cancel the boundless. So do I have to wait 24 months to get another sign up bonus? When will I get the free night from boundless? After I pay the 2nd yr fee? Can I use the free night then cancell the bounddless within 30days of renew? |

An AmEx business card gets only 15 Elite Qualifying Nights (EQN). The sole way to get 30 EQN is to have both a business and personal card, for 15 EQN each.

My wife and I each got our 15 EQN within a week or two of approval for the Marriott business AmEx card, perhaps sooner. It's been a couple of years, so my recollection is vague. But I do remember being pleased with how quick it was, and my wife applied in November or December.

New to the hotel credit card here. I currently have Chase CSR, Chase United, Amex Business cards, and in 2/24 rule. What hotel card would u recommend to start with? Chase Marriott or Amex Business Marriott to max the benefit? TIA

Holding a personal Chase Marriott Bonv∘y Visa card ($95) and a business Marriott Bonv∘y AmEx card ($125) will earn 15 Elite Qualifying Nights (EQN) each, per year, for a total of 30 EQN annually.
That's what I do, at a considerable savings over the Marriott Bonv∘y Brilliant AmEx card ($650), since my wife or I can make Platinum Elite status "organically" with that 30 EQN head-start |

Do you currently have any status? How many nights do you typically stay? If you want the most bang for your buck, go the AMEX route. You can get the business and brilliant cards and get 40 nights per year. If you go with Chase you will max out at 15 for 2 years until you can get AMEX
I did went with Business + Brilliant cards and received the 40 nights in the accounts already. Don't want to miss the opportunity to claim Platinum status this year. |

I am so used to staying in Shangri-la especially in Asia region for work related, and then Airbnb all around the world, including US on family trips. Marriott chain is just not family friendly. There is Homes & Villas, and their choices are just so limit and in no comparison to options in Airbnb. I managed to replaced our 8 nights from Airbnb to Homes & Villas for our Barcelona trip in next March - at least found a good apartment to stay for the family at our price range. But in Japan trip next May 2023, though I managed to get 2 rooms for 6 nights in Sakura Tower hotel in Tokyo, I just can't find a good option in Marriott chain for family of 4 in Kyoto (unless u book 2 rooms), again at our price range - so that 14 nights went to Airbnb business. Wish Marriott would invest more properties for family style travel. |
