DId Marriott buy McDonald's Russia? (For fun)

The rebranded Russian McDonald's logo looks a lot like the Marriott logo, or is it just me?

All I see is Marriott there for sure - though, perhaps, it's supposed to be a deconstructed burger?

It's just you and The Guardian...

Critics of the new logo have pointed out its similarity to that of the Marriott hotel chain, which operates in Russia. One person on social media described it as “the Marriott hotel logo crossed with the flag of Bangladesh”.

It’s supposed to be two fries and a burger but I also thought of the resemblance to the Marriott logo when I first saw it.

Of course not - because this new restaurant chain will actually have control over its franchises

To me, it looks more like the Saul Bass Warner Bros logo, turned upside down:

Incidentally, I've always thought that logo looked creepily like a fascist flag...

It does look like the Marriott logo. More so than what they say it is - a burger and 2 fries.
