Moxy Sion, Switzerland [Master Thread]
 

We were here for 5 days, new hotel, close to some great ski areas (4 Vallees, Crans-Montana, Anzere). No upgrade. Breakfast included as a Titanium member with good variety, but I had to ask. Staff were very nice. Free parking.

Well I had 2 stay there and the breakfast is not included, you get a credit who is about 8.75CHF per person / daily. I used it for the bar in the evening.
I got one upgrade to family room, after reminded the staff about the Marriott rules.

Actually there one demolition of a building who is behind the hotel, it was very noisy during the weekdays. As the temperature is internally controlled you need to open the windows to get the temperature down and become bearable during sunshine. I am wondering about summertime, Sion can be very hot.

It guess it depends who you get when you check in. An upgrade was 'impossible' they said, but breakfast for 2 was no problem, but again I had to ask to get that. The demolition was still going on but looked nearly done. The staff do need to be reminded of the 'Bonvoy' status rules.

They said that they only have 4 family room.
It my first stay last year I already reminded them about the Marriott rules (3 different staff), I saw the manager in my last stay when I requested the upgrade.

Does this hotel have air conditioning? The website doesn't list it, so I am guessing no?

no, and it can be very hot if direct sun
Sion is one of the hottest Switzerland places in summer.
