Promo identifier: 2022H1 (2022 1st half: for search purposes) / Marriott promo identifier: EB22

Marriott's promo name: Every Night Counts Even More

Promo period: February 8 through May 4, 2022

Promo live date: January 24, 2022

Suggested promo title: 1000 Points + 1 Additional EQN Per Stay Night

Marriott's stupidly long and wrong title: Earn 1,000 bonus points and 1 Elite Night Credit each night

Promo links: http://marriottbonvoy.com/everynightcounts or https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/pro...promotion=EB22

Promo not quite correct "language":

  • Register now, then earn from February 8 through May 4, 2022. Registration ends April 20, 2022.
  • Get 1,000 bonus points and one additional Elite Night Credit each night — all with no earning limits.
Notes:
  • 85 nights maximum (because of 85-night promo earning period)
  • Only stays made after registration count
  • Award redemption nights (Cash + Points, free night award certificates or a Points redemption are not eligible for the promotion. Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates) do not qualify
  • Homes & Villas by Marriott International stays, Marriott Executive Apartments® stays, and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks do not accrue bonus points or bonus EQNs
  • Only one room per property counts toward a member’s nights for the promotion
  • 1000 bonus points and 1 bonus EQN per eligible paid night to post to member account within 7 business days after checkout and will post with the stay
Marriott's Terms and Conditions:

Existing reservations are fine. They always are when promos are announced. Just make sure you register for the promo. Do it now before you forget.

Marriott does seem to have learned from the last fiasco promo when there was a whole heap of chaos noise around the edges caused by confused guidance from Marriott on similar questions which enabled many people to healthily game the system benefit from stays like this.

This time, very sensibly, the T&Cs are very clear upfront without wiggle room. The real question is whether IT has implemented this promo correctly and members discover favourable anomalies when stays like the one you propose actually post.

We ambassadors don't matter to Marriott.
$20k in non-bonused spend doesn't result in any tangible benefit. No way are they going to lessen it.

I just waste my time writing an email to get a brain dead response from them before having to fix the problem myself. I think the normal bonvoy line is more helpful than the ambassador idiots.
Another stunning endorsement of the Ambassador program. It really is something at this point.

Looks like I had to be manually registered.

Does anyone know where is the Cheapest Marriot Property per Night in USA or Canada?

hints: the middle part of USA-Canada with chilly air.

The cheapest one for MSP search is a $79 (including taxes) Fairfield Inn. You can have a W at $147.

good for award searches bad for purposes of this promo which requires paid stays.

Not perfect, but bad is an exaggeration as many of the cheapest properties for mattress runs are in fact category 1 and listed in the above link. A single cheap night at an otherwise more expensive hotel is not particularly helpful for someone looking to book a number of consecutive nights.

not really a bad exaggeration , the point is it’s more important to find off season areas than it is to search by category if you’re looking for lower prices.

search Jan 30-Feb 4th and you’ll see a slew of Manhattan hotels that price under $100 per night.

four Points Downtown (cat 5) is showing $71/night.

There are also very few category 1s too and in very limited locations (even worldwide).
