FAQ : When will the "early in 2022" “Award Night Top Offs” be launched ?

Any word on when the new top off option will become active? Bonvoy site still reads, “early 2022.” I have three FNCs In hoping to redeem next month if the top off option becomes available soon.

March is the date for the new points system. They mention the top-off activation as "early 2022," so I keep hoping that means sooner than March. Thanks.

I think we all would like to see this functionality launched before the devaluation in March.

However, when you look at this from Marriott's perspective they have no incentive to do so. In fact, it will be useful to them to launch this on the day of the devaluation to try and buffer the bad news.

Topping up free night certificates

Based on this article https://milestomemories.com/marriott...ks%20to%20this - we are meant to be able to top these up in 2022. Any idea when this change goes live?

I agree. They will spin in as providing members additional flexibility and matching award pricing with demand and how you can get awards for less during off peak stays, etc.

Combing certs with points?

Has anyone been able to use one of their free night certs and combined with points? I couldn't find information if/when this starts.

I'm wondering the same thing; the Certs are good for 35K, which according to the chart should pull a Cat 4 in peak season? almost everything I'm finding cat 3-4 is 37,500 and up! it's like prices went way up (which everything has) and they haven't adjusted to chart. RT

Point devaluation ETA

Does anyone know when the point redemption values will get adjusted? They were saying March 2022, but that's in 9 days, and there hasn't been a new announcement for months.

March has 31 days every year, so we could still be a good 5˝ weeks out from the big announcement.

That is a proven technique to build anticipation and excitement.

Beaucoup Bonv°y!

They can change at any time. March is just when a large number change at once.
