Is it better to reply to their e-mail and see if they will re-adjust the already approved BRG reservation.

Or should I make a new reservation and submit another request.
Happened to me once - they specifically told me that they are not allowed to do a BRG on a rate that has already been matched, so you will have to book a new reservation and a new BRG.

As long as a rate is 'flexible', meaning you can cancel it more than 24 hours after booking without penalty, it doesn't matter how many days before arrival you have to cancel it. Flexible rates do not need to have the exact same cancel policy in regard to how many days before arrival.

On a related note, prepay also does not matter when making comparisons. Either a rate is considered non-refundable (must cancel within 24 hours of booking to avoid penalty) or flexible.

I piggybacked on the earlier post from January. The better hotels.com rate is still out there, albeit a little higher than it was in January.

Just reserved st Regis Toronto for $550 on Marriott.com

Found it for $534 on snaptravel and submitted BRG.

Had a response writhing 12 hours declining the BRG Stating:

“…sites that do not pass reservations to the Marriott Central Reservation System (CRS) for confirmation are not eligible…””

does this seem right?

Yes. They don't price match snaptravel

JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Date of stay: September 2022

There is a slight difference versus the calculated rate, the competing rate did not include the tourism tax of 10 MYR per night.

To answer my own question, the answer is no according to Marriott, Destination2 provide ‘request bookings’ instead of confirmed bookings.

I used the BRG on an all-inclusive deal at Marriott Phuket Merlin Beach and it was approved. But I noticed the all-inclusive benefit that I book no longer appears under rate details in my booking and instead the rate just says "best rate guarantee rate", will the hotel honour the all-inclusive benefit?

It was matched with the current exclusive deal at Qantas hotel and I selected "Experiences Ultimate All Inclusive-Rate" in the original booking.

That's normal. As long as it's written correctly in the email with the brg approval you are good to go.
