For that type of promo, I would definitely take a screenshot. Marriott is notorious for not honouring promo points. See the Courtyard 2000 bonus points thread.

Thankfully I took one, however Marriott CS have told me it is the property whom need to apply the bonus!

I had an issue with a similar rate at the Marriott V&A in Manchester. I went down the property route first, to get a copy of the folio as it wasn't sent originally. To be fair to them, they said they would email a Bonvoy contact to try to resolve it. Next day I had 3,000 points in the account. I would have assumed it was Marriott CS that needed to process these, but the property stepped up and resolved it pretty painlessly.

Sounds like it was the same rate! It’s frustrating and a lot of flaff for 3k. On a separate note I’m also finding my elite amenity points aren’t always posting either.

Not receiving points promised seems to have been an issue with Marriott for a very long time. I also never get the 2 x or 4 x points on my Marriott credit card for using at a Marriott property. I never have such problems at other chains (Hilton, IHG, Radisson, etc).

I can now answer my own question "How long to wait for a reply?"

The answer is 5 months.
