AMEX transfer bonus (Discussion Thread)
 

Received an email today, Amex MR is running a 30% bonus on transfer of MR points to Marriott Bonvoy. Not as good as the 40% that we saw earlier, It is good through the end of the year.

Had to top off a few points to my account the other day, very sad it ended up being timed perfectly between these two promotions. Alas!

Any idea when AMEX will reinstate their points transfer bonus to Bonvoy? Need points for a Spring Break trip. Thanks!

You literally just missed it (the last one was a 30% bonus ended after 12/31). Before that they did one a few months before (40% ending October 31st).

So absent someone from Marriott showing up and divulging private corporate information, because why the heck not, it's not like you could get fired for that... ;) wait a few months?

Even with the bonus it's the worst exchange option possible with Membership Rewards.

If 1000 Amex points are worth 2800 HH points, they should be worth at least 2000 Marriott points if not 2500. Marriott has basically let their points value drop to close to the same level as Hilton. Even at that level it would not be great value...

I’m beating a dead horse with this but the only Marriott bonus I’m holding out for is a Points to Miles conversion bonus! It’s been a while...
