Does anyone know if it is possible to split payment across multiple credit cards? I'm trying to maximize Amex offers across multiple cards.

So it seems the only thing that could possibly be split is the initial deposit and the final payment, and the only way to do it is to intentionally make it so that the final payment charge is declined by the card issuer. That would cause HVI to issue a separate payment request that would have to be completed within a day or two in order to make sure the booking isn't lost.

Picture Problem
All, I am trying to find a property in HI to use some points but I am having an awful time looking at pictures. All I get when I look at pictures on the Marriott Homes & Villas website is a small box with ? when I am in Safari. I use a Mac with Safari but I've also tried Chrome. I get the same thing. I have also tried on my iPhone and the exact things happens. Typically, when I search I get the property image, then when I open the property that same property image shows up (for the first property or two of the search), but if I try to look past that one photo all I get is a ?. This has been happening for weeks and I thought the problem might go away but now I really need to start researching this trip but I can't without photos.
I have searched online and this doesn't really seem to be a widespread problem but I thought maybe someone here had run into it. All my settings are in order, and I even tried lowering security briefly to see if that helped. It didn't. I have even found some of the same properties on other websites and found the same photos and had no problem viewing them on other websites. I have ZERO trouble viewing photos of anything on any other website I visit for work or travel or whatever. It's just Marriott Homes & Villas....

Positive experience in Italy
First go round with a 'Homes and Villas' booking.
Booking engine worked fine. Marriott confirms then provides the link/info for the local partner. In our case, local partner (Feeling Italy) was responsive to our questions and on the ground. Problems (no power first night) were resolved in our favour (offered a second property that was at least of the same standard as we booked).
Italy in the 'off season' is an exercise in patience as one looks for restaurants, etc that are actually open (regardless of what their SM indicates). Having a useable kitchen and space to spread out was very welcome.
We actually missed our 'villa' and its conveniences during our one night in a traditional hotel on the trip back to NA....

Bad experience
We got robbed in an Appartment sold by Marriott Villas and Homes in Istanbul.
There is no emergency number from Marriott, nor any kind of support.
Also no way to make reviews or anything.
Airbnb which I don't use anymore because it's a nightmare sometimes even has better emergency services and support
Marriott doesn't care apparently

What about an emergency number? I feel it unacceptable to have to place complete confidence in the host.
Airbnb is superior in this regard. I chose Marriott because I trusted the name, but both of my bookings were incredibly disappointing and, what's worse, an invasion of our privacy that made us fear for our safety.
I will send my reservation information by email.

Next Appartment, also Marriott Villas and Homes
After been robbed at the previous apartment, the follow up reservation one the same trip presents a fresh difficulty.
The primary issue is that we lack HOT WATER. We are unable to take a shower.
Also, the overall condition of the property did not meet our expectations for a Marriott branded/marketed apartment.

And look at this pictures

Instead, I received an email requesting that the host contact me

After two weeks, I also did not receive any points or bonus nights, which appears to be the usual.

On my last (and first and only) stay at a H&V property in Orlando, the points didn't post automatically either. I had to wait the requisite number of days (which for H&V is something like a month), and then I sent an email to the customer service address about it. I don't think I ever got a reply, but the points posted within a day or two of my email.

Does anyone know when you’re supposed to receive specifics to access home on a H&V booking? We have an upcoming booking in Utah - we are less than two weeks out and I’ve received nothing besides initial confirmation e-mail/receipt.
