Elite bonus nights from CC upgrade retroactively removed

Hi FT!

I received 10 bonus elite nights for upgrading my my MR Premier card to the Bonvoy Premier card back in February. My account update email from MR that I received on May 29 shows the correct # of nights. However, when I logged in to my account today, the 10 nights are missing. I sent in an email, but I'm sure it wont be resolved any time soon. I know our status is fine for this year, but EQN are EQN. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I had 15 from the old MR card, and then I utilized an upgrade offer for the Bonvoy card to get another 10 EQN. So, a total of 25.

I had not previously utilized any upgrade offers on this card. I saved the email from Chase with this offer. Specifically, the T&C of the offer state:

"1 To qualify for this 10 Elite Night credit bonus offer, you must upgrade through this offer and make a Purchase with your new credit card by 03/31/20 11:59 p.m. E.T. Only purchases posted to your account with a transaction date during the offer period are eligible for this offer. Delays by the merchant, such as shipping, could extend the transaction date beyond the offer period. Please allow up to 8 weeks for Elite Night credits to post to your Marriott BonvoyTM account. ("Purchases" do not include balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable.) To qualify for this bonus offer, your credit card account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. These Elite Night credits are in addition to the 15 Elite Night credit benefit that comes with your card and do not count towards the per-account maximum on that benefit. This promotional offer is non-transferable. Account may only qualify for one upgrade offer during the life of the account. Chase is not responsible for offer fulfillment or the provision of or failure to provide the stated benefits and services."

Can we assume that the email was addressed to you and that you applied using links in the email?

Glad to know i'm not alone. I'm a little surprised more people haven't come forward with this issue.

Try contacting the Lurkers if you can't get it resolved. Seems like there is some rule getting enforced that says max nights = 30.

I am assuming most people would have taken the points. I took the nights because I am shifting stays to Hyatt.

A maximum of 15 Elite Night Credits will be provided per Marriott Bonvoy Member Account, unless you have both a small business Marriott Bonvoy Card account and a consumer Marriott Bonvoy Card account; then, you may receive a combined maximum of 30 Elite Night Credits (15 per Card account).

Yeah but the language in the upgrade offer specifically says the 10 nights are in addition and don't count toward the maximum... I would expect them to make it right.

Yes, but that is limited to the cards. The 10 elite nights is a one time upgrade bonus, which is distinct from this.

EDIT: what escapefromphl said.
