Come across this news today. Thai not opening boarder likely until 2021. Is this true?

VERY most likely.

many thais i talked to (except those who work in tourism industry) felt uncomfortable with any foreign visitors entering their country.

There is still talk about opening the Islands up from 1/10. Restrictions may be prohibitive though https://www.globaldata.com/thailand-...ys-globaldata/

Some want to keep the borders closed for another 6 months ...

https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/d...reign-tourists

Some prominent Thai doctors vehemently disagree, though, and say the country should learn to be self sufficient and stay closed for at least 6 more months until the situation eases around the world. These doctors are also advisors with the Ministry of Public Health and the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration. They claim that the government has the resources to prop up the hospitality and tourism industries if they choose to, and that people can find other jobs until tourists return.
So, basically, without extension for redemption periods, these vouchers are worthless at this point unless you are already there!
