Gift For Ambassador?

Has anyone given a gift to their Ambassador? How did you go about doing it?

I'd be straightforward. Tell them you would like to send them something, ask for their office address and if you like, suggest they are welcome to make any suggestions...just because gifting is hard for someone you don't know if suggest some old fashioned cash...

Note that there is a policy of what kind of gift they are allowed to accept. From vague memory it was something like up to a value of $60.

A nice email praising their work and expressing wishes for a happy holiday?

I bring some edibles down to the office, as a gift to the team, not just my own Amb. Luckily I live nearby

I was just thinking of going down tomorrow!

Are ALL the ambassadors in Austin? I was under the impression that most were not...

A lot of the legacy SPG Ambassadors are in Austin, but some are overseas, IIRC including Singapore. The ones Marriott hired for the pilot program shortly before the merger AFAIK were further north in someplace like Omaha.

I would imagine that a lot of them work from home, although IIRC under Starwood those who were employed by the Austin call center but worked from home at the time were required to be in the same area code.

There is also a lot of legacy ones based in Cork, Ireland which I over the years have found to be one of the best (and my personal favourite) Ambassador office location as there is such a good team spirit about them!

Austin, Cork & Singapore and maybe in China. Sory but Cork staffs are lazy, this is my opinion.

Have to say my experience over the last 15 years couldn't be more different. Superb service from the Ambassador team for me, but I guess everyone has different experiences of these things.

I intend to promise amazing things to my Ambassador, then fail to deliver anything at all.
