Marriott Signs First Westin Hotel in Myanmar

Under the agreement, the new-build Westin Yangon will feature 281 rooms and suites alongside 90 premium serviced apartments with spectacular views overlooking downtown Yangon and the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda.

Marriott International Inc has signed a landmark agreement with Myanmar’s leading property developer, Yoma Land, to bring the Westin brand to Myanmar in late 2021.
It's also interesting that starwood previously had a Sheraton signed for Myanmar in Yangon too, opening in June 2020..

yes but what has happened to the Sheraton you would have though that if it were delayed pulled it would have been noted in the website due to the fact that it is supposed to open in a couple of weeks
