On "Redemption with Cash Upgrade" bookings, do you earn points on the cash portion?
I was looking for another thread that may reference this, so apologies if it has been answered before. But does the cash portion of a Redemption with Cash Upgrade earn points?

When did this change? They never used to be. Should I be following up on prior stays in which I did not receive the points for the cash upgrade charges?

Our stay at St Regis Maldives was booked with points first (garden villa) and then we paid $1,200+ USD plus to upgrade to OVW. Those $1.2K USD never counted as qualifying charges based on the hotel receipt. |
