Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kenosha Pleasant Prairie, WI [Master Thread]
 

We stayed at this new hotel a couple of weekends ago for a 2-night stay. For those familiar with the area, it is between the outlets and McDonald's/Culvers. It is also about 1 miles down the main street from the RecPlex (where swim meets happen).

This is built like other newly built Fairfield Inns. I personally think the rooms and bathrooms are quite attractively done and very nice and spacious. Our room (and I think all do) had a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast was fine (FFI standard gross eggs, but nice that they had cheese omelettes made that were much better), standard waffle station (with a separate waffle maker for gluten free). Staff was attentive and replenished food. Elevator was somewhat slow but the building is only a handful of stories, so not the end of the world. Exercise room looked pretty nice (we didn't use) and we didn't see the pool. Plentiful parking.

My one negative was that we actually wanted a 4pm late checkout (I'm Titanium) but the FD clerk told me that it wasn't guaranteed. After a short back and forth with her (she appeared to be a new employee and said that her manager and front desk manager both told her it wasn't guaranteed) about the elite guarantee, I decided it wasn't worth the exhaustion. I never brought it up later, but it was annoying and peeved me at the beginning of an otherwise very nice stay. I'd definitely stay here again (although it'd be nice if they would train their staff better on elite perks).
