AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Biltmore [Master Thread]
Hello, just trying to find information on this hotel.
Does it offer Platinums a full breakfast amenity? Any other feedback would be great. |
I was here briefly on a dirt cheap summer rate ($79). It's a nice new build, in a central location (near Biltmore Fashion Plaza) with free parking in the rear lot. Rooms are good sized and functional if a bit spare. Bed nice and soft. Only negative was very loud A/C cycling on and off. I was offered a choice between (1) points, (2) $10 credit, or (3) breakfast. I went for $10 credit, so can't comment on the breakfast.

Additional note - the walls are thin here. Lightly booked, so FDA cheerfully moved me to a room with empties on both sides. She mentioned they get complaints about traffic noise in the rooms that front on Camelback (which apparently includes all suites).
I like that this property does not charge for parking. The Camby 2 blocks away charges $35. 14 minutes to the airport this morning at 4 a.m. |
I have a visit here coming up at the end of this month. I am using a free night certificate (I have three that I need to use up.)
The free night can only be used in a "regular" room. Is it worth asking for a larger room or suite? If so, do I call the property, or do I call Marriott Reservations? (I'm a Gold if that matters at all.) Thanks! |
Any recent/stays updates on this property?

Quick overnight mid-January. Had had a bad experience at the AC in Portland, so was curious if that was a one-off or what. Very friendly staff, pleasant indoor/outdoor lobby with nicely separated seating areas. Room spare, but pleasant and comfortable. Requested late check out, was granted. Appreciated the free parking (mid-rise office buildings)...not sure if that's going to survive full occupancy in the offices, however.

I had all day meetings nearby and booked a room here using a 35k free night certificate. Great value as cash rate was over $450/night  (absolutely insane valley rates during high season). Upgraded to a suite, with the warning that it could be noisy. Since I only needed day use, that was okay. Suite was on a corner on the 2nd floor, directly fronting Camelback. Traffic noise was extreme, there is virtually no noise insulation. One of the loudest hotel rooms I've ever been in. Would not have been able to sleep. Not a big fan of the spartan AC design/furnishings. Cheap fiberglass shower enclosure is showing embedded dirt and wear.
Staff here are super nice. Parking is still free. I would never pay $469/night, but for 30k points a very reasonable option if you need to be in the Biltmore area (but be sure to request a room away from Camelback!). |
Good restaurant a block away. Hillstone. Need to make a reservation online.

I’ve heard the beds are hard as a rock and hope it’s folks exaggerating a bit  |

It's fine if you get a room on the other side of the building. I wouldn't pay more than $150-200. But can be an okay value for 30k points.
will be interesting what happens later this month with the Bonvoid devaluation i did 30k a night AC Fort Laud Beach was asking 460 plus tax a night 🥸😮 no suites supposedly in house |

Was here the other weekend. Had a room facing the pool so I had no problems with noise. Room was big, but there was nothing filling the space. Window was fairly small too. Just odd. Interestingly, they gave $40 (instead for just $20) worth of credit for a 1 night stay - $20 for the night of check in and $20 for the next morning.
