First, welcome to FT.

Second, hope you don't mind my moving your thread, but I realized we don't have a "Bonvoy Hotels in" thread for the Miami or Miami Beach area yet. Hopefully this should get your question lots of visibility and lots of responses.

As a Florida native I would say that, of the months to visit Miami, August ranks approximately 12th.

I'm thinking maybe the Edition. It's in Mid-Beach so a bit north of the craziness. Definitely not the W. Ritz could be fine depending on what's going on that weekend. Have you checked TA for reviews by family travelers (tick the box)?

Are you talking about discount codes? Not really sure what this has to do with the rest of the post. But, there is a thread for that - List of publicly usable Marriott reservation codes

Lots of discussion in this thread although its not limited to Miami. Probably worth a different thread for Miami/Miami Beach though

Not sure what type of hotel/experience you're looking for, but the St. Regis Bal Harbour is wonderful!

And for the record, I've gone to Miami in August for the past several years and it's been excellent. Sure, it's hot, but that's what pools, the beach, and good AC are for! Hope you have a great trip

We're considering to go to either of the cheaper Autograph Collection properties in South Beach, either the Blue Moon or the Winter Haven. Both hava a resort fee of USD 20 per night. Unlike some other properties, it is not disclosed what this resort fee includes. Does anyone know? We are especially interested to know whether bike rental is included.

We have spent 3 nights last week at Marriott Stanton

a nice hotel probably on the best beach at just 2 minutes walk (free sunbeds included on resort fee)

Not so high Plat recognition, booked an ocean view, received an ocean front

room is quite spacious and very well insulated, modern and comfortable

didnít like so much the pool, but there is the beach ...

there is a superlative Japanese restaurant inside the hotel, we had 2 dinners on 3 nights

the property is at the end of south beach, so you need to move some streets if you want some fiesta. But to relax is perfectly located.

Free good breakfast for Plat at a Mexican restaurant with entrance from the hotel.

Are we left having to guess at which property you stayed?

Have stayed at Blue Moon and as I recall their fleet of four of five bicycles represents your entire resort fee investment. Was there on business and not on property during the day, so can't really comment as to how quickly those are snatched up (or what the time limitations might be). Recommend you call, as these things are subject to change over time. Bear in mind, of course, they aren't likely to be exceptionally forthcoming as to your risk of failure to snag one (or more) since their entire resort fee house of cards rests primarily, if not entirely, on this "fleet" (as of approx two years ago).

Also, just as an aside, this is a historic property with a single very historic elevator and rooms tend towards the cramped (typical of the period - which I don't recall exactly, but clearly it had already seen its share of blue moons long before I was born many decades past). I'm not saying it isn't a nice property - it has its charms and location was to my liking (stuff around, but not right in the thick of the all-night nightlife). Just be aware of what some may consider to be its limitations relative to a more modern property.

Ended up booking at the Courtyard South Beach. Location is better for us for what will only be a three-night stay (Lincoln Road and EspaŮola Way), and apparently no resort fee. The price is similar, and even though reviews aren't glowing, it appears to be an adequate compromise.

A wise choice?

Miami on Points- Cadillac or Hotel Beaux Arts?

Redemption stay for six nights in Miami with 2 adults and 1 toddler. Both hotels are 50K a night plus some resort fees which we are fine with. Titanium.

We want a room (not necessarily a suite but thatíd be nice) thatís relatively modern, spacious. A good breakfast spread is important. Also want a good, preferably indoor or heated if outdoor pool, considering this is gonna be in Jan 2020.

Kid friendly would be a bonus. Another bonus is nice beach access: eg right on beach, a quick walk or a quick uber.

We donít like crowd. Definitely not party scene. Do love beach though. But in winter itís not as important as a nice heated indoor pool.

Oh yeah lounge access would be super nice!

Quick Q: Beaux Arts only allows 2 in a room but I assume we can take our 3 yo toddler who sleeps in the same bed.
