I believe there will be 2 hotels in the complex.

The Pullman and the Orient Express
Pullman already open while Orient Express is slated to open end of 2019

There is a Ritz Carlton Residence in the building as well.
(this one is an apartment complex I believe)

I don't know Frasers Property, but one thing is sure: TCC will not go bankrupt and the buildings in One Bangkok will not need to be sold.

Yep the Ritz Carlton Residence is open and at the top of the property market cost-wise. From what I hear there are many problems for residents due to poor workmanship so I'm not sure how this translates to the quality of the upcoming hotels in the building.

When you look at the building, it seems obvious that there were some issues during the construction.

This seems to be a problem in Bangkok recently. Reports of construction quality issues at the PH, and I was surprised by a relatively high level of traffic noise in the rooms at the new Rosewood. Curious because older properties like SGS have highly effective sound-proofing.

I should have known better: Khun Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi does not really need a partner even for a big project like Bangkok One. Frasers Property Holdings Thailand is owned by the Sirivadhanabhakdi family.

I read a couple of times the recent article of the Bangkok Post (link below) and cannot fully comprehend how those companies are interconnected. I am also pretty sure that the Marriott The Surawongse (included on the list of the 12 properties) has a sign at the entrance already indicating "Asset World Corporation".

Apparently and as expected, the project is still happening, but I could not get any information on the opening timeframe.

Opening GM: the candidates with a Bangkok experience and having or presently working in properties of that the brand, will have some edge.

Ritz-Carlton Reserve Coming To Bangkok

https://latteluxurynews.com/2020/11/...ng-to-bangkok/

Will I still be alive in 2027, to check if this property opened in time?

I loved the one in Ubud, but the complete lack of points/status recognition is a bit annoying.

My impression of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand is that it is exclusive resorts, wonder how they would pull that one off in a metropolitan center like Bangkok or maybe it's me that have misunderstood the brand.

The Ritz-Carlton at Bangkok One and the Ritz-Carlton Reserve at Asiatique are 2 different hotels at 2 very different locations. I am not sure that I understand the threads merger.

Each property (1 normal RC and 1 RC Reserve) should have their own thread.

Loyalty Lobby just announced a second hotel in Bangkok One, after it was posted on the Hyatt website:

"One Bangkok already previously announced that one of the five hotels at the One Bangkok is Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton brand. Now, they have announced the second hotel project, scheduled to open in late 2023, which will be Hyatt’s Andaz."

Confirmed by:
https://www.hospitalitynet.org/annou...e-bangkok.html

It seems that TCC Assets (Thailand) Company Limited and its sister companies are diversifying further their management companies for their new hotels: InterContinental, Melia, Hyatt, in addition to Marriott, Hilton, etc ...
